KEEP A SAVE COPY OF THE SAFE FILE IF YOU ARE AFRAID THAT YOU MIGHT LOSE DATA!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
LAG PROBLEMS
If you are experiencing any lag problems while playing the game please continue to read and I will help you!
What to do?
Follow the instructions as listed:

Firstly, you would need to navigate you your files where you downloaded Subnautica to

Secondly, access your steam libary (I saved mine on the D Drive) []

Thirdly, access your steamapps

Fourth, go to common

Fifth, open your Subnautica Game file

Sixth, access your SNAppData

Seventh, access your saved games

Eighth, go into your slot or saved game file that you want to help the lag with

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH ANY OF THIS, I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU COPYING THE SAVED FILE TO A DIFFERENT PLACE AND KEEP A BACKUP COPY OF IT, JUST IN CASE IT DOES NOT WORK! I REPEAT MYSELF, PLEASE KEEP ANOTHER COPY OF THAT SAVE FILE JUST INCASE IT DOES NOT WORK! DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!

Nineth, go into your cells cache

Finally, look for the file named batch-object-14-18-15.bin (IT MUST BE WITH THE NUMBER 14-18-15.bin OR IT WILL NOT WORK)
Problems it might bring!
As you are deleting a file from the game, the game would RESPAWN any of the blueprints you HAVE FOUND, so don't worry! The blueprints that you have found at that location, would still spawn back! Additionally, if you have explored the Aurora, and have collected all of the catalogs, the would be back at the Aurora again, and it cannot be picked up! As you already have the catalog. YOUR INVENTORY, GAME FILE AND ANY BUILDINGS OR EVEN VEHICLES WILL STILL BE ALRIGHT!!!

ps.
If the game still lags, while playing, just pause the game and wait a few seconds and it should not crash as the game would need to load the world. I have an MSI GP62 6QG (more specs on my profile), and I run it at med-high graphics and it would still lag. So please don't worry!

Hope it helps!
I hope it helps you! If you don't understand what is in the guide, don't be afraid to add me to ask for help!

I am unsure if this is related to a specific architecture, or something specific that is done in game to make lag happen, but so far, this has worked? I need to full test it, walk around my base, go around the world, but currently it went from horribly choppy lag I could hardly bear to play, to smooth as butter. Upvote for you my good man.

mine laggs when i build huge bases, and gets worse the more i add to a base, but if i start a new base the lag goes away, but gets worse the more i add to it, and the lag shows up quicker with each new base built up to the point where it freezes for no less then 40 seconds to a minute, in my first creative save i had pushed that so far that i had to sit and wait for 2 or 3 minutes between each base module placed. anyone know why it does this? it should not be my pc, i got 2 GB of gddr5 video memory (GeForce GTX 1050 SC built by EVGA) and 23 GB of system memory (ram) The motherboard is a MSI 970A Krait SLI Edition. Ihave all but one windows update, (i can not have that last one, it freezes window every time i try to boot up, so i removed the update and hide it so windows will never get it again,)

@alexmatthew09 and @Dremaus1911, ok i did some research, and i might be able to help you or i might not. this works on windows PC not mac so i am sorry if you have a mac, go to your library, then right click on subnautica, then click on the properties, then a pop-up should appear, go on the top right of the pop-up and click the local files tab, once there, click the 4th option on the local file section or click the one that says [VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...], just try and run that, and see if it works. if it doesnt i am sorry :/, but just a question, are both of you running Subnautica on experimental mode or just normal mode?
