Notes:

Small Projectiles Speed Up Faster (But very little damage).
Long Projectiles Pierce Ships By Exploding on Them One by One.
Heavy Projectiles Might Move or Spin The Ship (But Not a Lont Of Damage).
The Optimal Place For the Front of Your Projectiles is in The Middle of The Railgun (The Picture Railgun is Configured for Long Projectiles)

The Railgun Picture is in another Sceenshot and is Tied to an Asteroid to Make It Orbitally Stable.

+ Method For Firing:
1) Load the Projectile.
2) Line Your View Up From Right Behind The Projectile Looking Forward.
3) Press [3] to Toggle Gun View (it helps with aiming). Point The Gun at Your Target (include movement)
4) (Short-cut keys included) Press [R] to Toggle The Tractor Beams.
5) Hold and Select The Front of Your Projectile Untill The Game Becomes Smooth Again (It initially lags).
6) While Still Holding Drag Your Curser to The Front Edge of The Last Tractor Beam's Range (while still holding).
7) Make Sure You Are Linned Up (correct your aim if needed, while still holding the curser).
8) Press to Disconect Docking Ports and It Gets Shot Away at Your Target.
9) When The Projectile Is Out of your Tractor Beam Range, You Can Stop Holding your [Left-Mouse Button] and Press [R] to Turn Off the Tractor Beams.

Yes, very well. A "Penetrator" Projectile (Docking Port, 5 Corradors, Command Module 2) can cut a light cruiser in half.
