Descrição
POLARIS SPACE INDUSTRIES PM-18 "SAMPO" mining ship

"In Finnish mythology Sampo was a magical artifact that made flour, salt and gold out of thin air."

Built as a mining ship, "Sampo" doesn't have many luxuries - but it does the job it's designed to do. Its a very small Capital Vessel basically consisting of skeleton frame holding the necessary equipment to make the ship function. In addition to mining turret, "Sampo" has a cannon turret in the rear purely for self defense.

"Sampo" is extremely cheap, perfect choice for space miners just getting started - but also as backup for veteran space pioneers. Practical, simple frame makes it dead easy to modify "Sampo" to fit your specific needs. Get yours now!

"Sampo" is usually fitted with three PMC-5 "Armadillo" armoured mobile containers and one PHM-2 "Mole II" hover miner. With the hover miner and containers, "Sampo" is an suitable for all mining jobs planetary and space alike (Containers and miner sold separately).

@swaffora Yeah, this is good survival ship as its so cheap. I've been using it a lot while ferrying around my miner and mining asteroids. When you don't need it anymore or change planets - add a warp core (can be tricky, but theres a version for it too by AndyH, check the links) - but its also easy to disassemble as there are so few parts if you need the parts to build something bigger.

@CrusadeNeo Sit on the cockpit, access Control Panel (P), open "4 - Mining", from there you find Mining Turret, double click on it. It only works on asteroids - and not on just any asteroids, but only the ones that contain ore. They're pretty rare so you have to and wander arout in the asteroid belt. Usually there are 2-3 around each planet.

@AndyH Looking cool, thank you. And glad you continued the name theme - but just FYI, I know you meant Näkki - but nakki actually means small sausage in finnish :-) Thats a very descriptive name too, though! ;-)
