Magnetic Orb Templar - 1000+ Anomaly Guide v0.61.3
By Phantasma
This guide is for anyone who wants to just charge in and kill stuff. It's a semi melee-ranged build (you will get close to the enemy a lot) so get ready to really hate exploding enemies should you choose to use this. The reward is an extremely fun build where you can basically fly across the battlefield, destroying everything you get close to.

Introduction
EDIT: I'm gonna update this guide soon for the new patch v0.63.3.

This guide will basically focus on what the build is, the playstyle/mechanics, what skills I use and why, and also the equipment used. It will be very straight to the point. Note that this is an end game build, so good equipment is required for the full effect.

PROS:

-The most mobile class in the game with this build
-HIgh damage
-Fast clear speeds
-Looks cool
-Can dodge most attacks because of your speed
-Pretty tanky shield build
-Fun to play

CONS:

-You will bump into walls a lot if you're not careful
-You will end up hating exploding enemies more than ever, because this build gets you into melee range.
-Too fast, cant see what the hell you're clicking on

To get an an idea of what this build looks like in action, here is a short video:

Playstyle
You will be using one attack skill: Magnetic Orb. You will be combining it will the mobility skill: Slice. Build will have 90% cooldown reduction, plus half base cooldown due to the Ascension ultimate.

The build works best in big open maps. However you can still play in cramped spaces, you just need to be very careful because. In tigher spaces, you can usually do a dash-in dash-out, which should kill the enemy, or if there is enough space, just dash past them. Need to be extra cautious because you never know what enemy is going to explode on death.

Buff Order:

To start out, use Ascension first. This halves your base CD. Next,
you want to activate the Prayer aura. This gives you another 15% CDR. Next, activate magnetic orb. Immediately after, activate Alacrity to reset the cooldown on orbs. Then activate orbs again. Wait for it to cooldown, then repeat. Once you have enough orbs activated, (4 times+), activate Hearty Dance and Prayer again, and lets go!
Equipment
Here is the list of equipment I used and their enchancements. Lots of + Damage items, because with the masteries, points into atk skill add element damage as well, which ends up scaling a lot better. You'll need to roll knockback % on accessory, shoes, and offhand. Then focus on cooldown and effect duration for everything else. We DO NOT need to worry about spike traps or slow. You can dash right out of it. Spike traps also cant hurt you due to massive regeneration.

Here is a summary of how everything synergizes:

Skull Mask - You have 8 non set items for 88% damage.
Maddocs - Add knockback and extra movement speed. This comes with 15% crit chance.
Amulet - Goreneck - Boost in hp/mana, plus damage for killing stuff.
Offhand - Hurtblocker for resists and blocking
Armor - Royal armor for regeneration.
Weapon - Jupiter for orb range.
Boots - Pathmaker for regeneration
Ring - Rignt of Titans for damage.

EDIT: NullPointer pointed out that at lower mastery levels, the All For One set (ring and amulet) does more damage than Goreneck/Ring of Titans. You can use this as an optional set if you're under 300 mastery levels.

So in total:

Damage:

Damage from Skull Mask + Ring of Titans= 88% +75% = 163%. If you roll Health on hit on offhand, it's still 138% damage.

Upon killing a foe:
20% Goreneck
up to 100% Goreneck
up to 100% Ring of Titan

Regeneration:

Royal Armor - 200% total health/mana on hit is now regen. Remember, Ascension ultimate adds 300 hp/mana on hit each. This will become a massive boost here.
Pathmaker - 150% movespeed is now added to hp/mana regen. We have a lot of movespeed so this is good.

Helmet:Skull Mask. 8 non-set items will give 11 x 8 = 88% damage.

Accessory: Maddocs, hands down. This comes with innate 15% crit, allowing you to add another major enchancment to it.

Amulet: Goreneck. 150+ mana and health per second, plus 20% dmg per second.

Offhand: Hurtblocker. Has innate 15% All resists, so you can roll an additional major enchantment. I rolled it with health on hit and damage.

Armor: Royal Armor. Need it for the regeneration ability. Rolled with health and resists.

Weapon: Jupiter. Need that magnetic orb range increase.

Boots: Pathmakers. Gotta have more health and mana regen.

Ring: Ring of Titans. Extra damage. Three knockback rolls will give you +75% damage.

Skills and Masteries
Vengence Tree:

We're going shields, so you want to build up HP and resists here. Hearty Dance for extra regeration plus some resists. Slice is your mobility skill. Maxed the shield passives so you can get block and block damage absorb.

Wrath Tree:

Static Overload and Richochet are important. Max Alacrtity as well for cooldown and cooldown reset. Magnetic Orbs maxed, plus 1 point into Static Charge for atk speed. Yes, you want atk speed because it basically increases ur cast speed.

Conviction Tree:

Not much here, just 4 points into Intensity for regen and 3 into Passion for magic damage.

Redemption Tree:

Prayer is going to be an important skill, it will be adding 15% additional CDR so we can reach 90% CDR. Ascension is the ultimate skill we'll be using. 300+ health/mana on hit, plus half based cooldowns. This is what will be giving us massive regeneration, plus contribute to our mobility.

Masteries:

Here are the masteries. For low Anomalies under 300, you can probably focus on damage, but 300+ you will want to build up more defensive masteries.

Closing
Not much to say, other than it was a blast to play this. I did get frustrated around Anomaly 750+ and briefly switched to a Surge build, but it was too slow and I didn't like it. I switched to a more defense offhand (with LOH for regen) instead and things became a bit smoother near the end. Overall, a decent build that was fun to play from start to finish.

Questions/Comments, feel free to post.

I was at Anomaly level ~170 before the patch (new char and all that), after that didnt even manage to get through 2 without dying (Less Magnetic orbs = less leech etc) :steamsad:

Ah ok thx :).

You pick what you need, and reset it if necessary. No specific order.

Forgot to say thank you >.<.

Okay, the main thing I was wondering was if the skill tress were gotten in order or if you pick and choose what you needed.

If you're talking about leveling until 100, you can use Surge and level in the storage area.
