Hi guys its scarce here and today we’re going to review a little known stratagem of TF2 Dodgeball. On the GSN servers, AKA the only good dodgeball servers because other servers use bounce and have an impressive amount of weebs, there’s a technique called the “wave” in which the rocket will take less predictable paths towards the opponent.


Unbeknownst to the more well-known players such as “Horse” and “CrackuhJax”, there exists many different types of waves that have different types of movements. Knowing what waves are headed your way and familiarizing yourself with them will ensure that you can react in time, and will allow you to be accepted by me as a “Wave Watcher”.

I. Dips
Though not waves per se, these are the youngest spawn of waves seen everywhere at low speeds and all ranges.

II. Common Wave
The Essential wave. Seen commonly in the Normal server. Nothing too special. Reflect is before it sneaks up yo booty

III. Bullet Wave
A common wave commonly related to the Common wave. Unlike a normal wave, this wave forces the rocket to take a straight path above, catching the recipient unaware as it loops around on them, making the shape of a bullet (bill).

IV. Waterfall Wave
One of the most common types of waves, named by my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Glyph. Seen often at high speeds on both Elite and Normal server. To return this wave, you’ll usually have to upspike it or wave it back at the sender, who will fail to return it because spikes are gay.

V. Mountain Wave
A subtype of the Waterfall, in which the rocket makes on large curve after climbing the purple mountain majesties. Not hard to reflect unless you’re not ready youu filtyh pleb

VI. Staircase Wave (AKA Cres’ Wave)
The inverse of the Waterfall wave, first spotted under usage by Cres, who I quote, “I just jerk off my mouse really fast and it does waves.” Hopefully this will give some of you hope.
Much like the waterfall, the best you can do is return it by aiming up.

VII. Whirlpool Wave
A lesser known wave spotted at lower speeds and close ranges. Was previously known as the bottle opener, but i think whirlpool sounds cooler.
Once again, aiming up is the way to go with this wave. I think

VIII. Cradle Wave (or Hammock Wave)
Much more common wave on the Elite server. This wave has a very unique appearance and is easy to recognize, but is also very spooky and dangeorus. Because it comes from spasmodic flickin

IX. Auto Waves
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wave, but can be very easy to win with. This wave naturally occurs in when the sender of the wave is above the recipient in altitude.

These waves are very seldom seen unless two decent dodgeball players are sparring. thats why theyre rare

X. Octagon Wave
This wave serves as a representative for extremely fast rocket waves, that actually create angles instead of curves. By making straight lines, the rocket’s travel time between the sender and the recipient gets all fugged up and shiz
XI. Corkscrew Wave[/b]
I myself have only seen this wave twice ever, once on elite, once during the most recent competition. At high speeds, flicking a certain way can cause the rocket to rapidly gyrate and basically look really cool, distracting the recipient of the wave to the point where they may consider suicide
XII. * * * * * Wave
