The Torus is a small and cheap cargo vessel mostly used by smaller organizations or sole individuals looking to haul cargo. The rather cheap price tag and it being capable of flying in all environments make the Torus one of AOE’s most purchased short haul cargo vessels. The Torus is only capable of minimal self-defense, but what it lacks in firepower it instead makes up in speed. The Torus features a large hydrogen thruster able to propel the vessel at an incredible speed, enabling it to escape from conflicts rather quick. However, due to its small size the engineers at AOE were not able to equip this vessel with a jump drive greatly decreasing the range of this ship. The Torus has also been named a rather fuel hungry vessel due to it almost solely relying on its powerful hydrogen engines, so make sure to take refueling stops into account.
