Looks way too gritty in my opinion, but its no big deal I guess.
By the way, this is clearly Sonic 2, may I ask what this is doing on the Sonic CD board?

It's visually fantastic, but the phsysics don't seem to be quite right. If nothing else, it seems very slow for a Sonic 2 remake game.
