Waves is, quoting squidinabox, a "Psychedelic Arena Shooter". In short, a twin-stick arena shooter.

Well, not much to say. If you played Geometry Wars, Beat Hazard and the likes, you know what you are getting into. I personally liked it quite a lot. The mode available involves surviving through a song and trying to score as much as possible.

The scoring system revolves around building up large combos, slowing down time for careful point blanking and slow-mo kills as well as triggering a bomb when killing a lot of enemies for extra carnage. The task? See those numbers flying everywhere! That's it, destroy those leaderboards! King of the squids all the way, baby!

Word of warning: you'll want to turn off all the graphical "enhancements" since they lock FPS to 30. Without them, it runs at a rock solid 60fps, as it should be.

Can't wait for the final release! I already made an imaginary pre-order.

Special mention to the music too! I'm quite liking it.
