  • TTK and Reload times are in milliseconds (1000ms = 1 second).
  • Figures in parenthesis are for headshots (except for the Chaingun).
  • DPS and TTK figures are assuming 100% accuracy and zero distance between targets.
  • Shotgun fires 10 pellets for 4 dmg each and 1 pellet for 3-to-5 dmg randomly.
  • Super Shotgun fires 16 pellets for 5 dmg each.
  • Burst Rifle fires 3-rounds with a 60ms reload every 450ms.
  • Chaingun has ramp-up dmg within 150 units.
  • If Fire is pressed, Chaingun starts firing with 252ms reload time and builds up to 100ms reload time.
  • Burst Rifle, Plasma Rifle, and Lightning Gun have a rare chance of doing critical dmg (20, up to 15, and 15 respectively).
  • Plasma Rifle Alt. Fire does 20 dmg plus 15 dmg within Area of Effect every 200ms that slowly reduces to 0.
  • Hellshot Alt. Fire does dmg gradually: 2 counts of 11, then 6 counts of 6 for 58 total.
  • Vortex Rifle has a 1016ms charge-up time plus 1000ms delay after each shot.
  • Chainsaw is a specialized instant-kill weapon, if it misses it only does 120 dmg.
  • Gauss Cannon and BFG9000 have splash dmg (125 & 200 respectively).
  • BFG9000 fires out homing lasers that do 15 dmg every 100ms.
Some of the automatic weapons might have inaccurate stats, as it was hard to pinpoint the rates of fire on them. I won't do the DLC weapons unless someone would be kind enough to give me the damage values for them. I'd like to give thanks to Yakumo, whose Quake Live guide provided the inspiration for making this chart.

Chaingun seems to be rather innacurate. There are slow-mo vids that show that the chaingun does 1800 RPM two-round burst-fires, with the burst-fires at 450 RPM. It simply doing 6 damage/shot is not exactly accurate, and considering that its also waaaay innacurate than the HAR, it should have more damage -- of if your chart really is right then there is little point in using the chaingun because the HAR is more accurate with more DPS.

@Quarttro: It's been forever since I played this game, so I'll have to look into it. I think I remember counting the shots from a recorded .WAV file in Audacity and it totalled 8 shots, but now I don't know. You're probably right, but I'll have to re-evaluate my findings.

@Black River: No, neither shotgun gets a headshot damage bonus. Having that probably would've made the two of them even more overpowered compared to the rest of the weapons. Although, considering the presence of the Hellshot, who knows what the devs were thinking?

And I don't know why Burst Rifle has a 80 DPS,according to your note it recharges in 450ms,so the DPS should be 66.7 I guess.I would probably never use it,though.
