Introduction
Every game has easter eggs.

These are little secrets. Usually a homage/reference to another game that is sneakily put somewhere in the game for players to find. As it so happens, Aragami has easter eggs too! This guide will cover all known easter eggs in the game, and as new ones are discovered, they will be added.

Metal Gear Solid
In one of the very first chapters, there is a very well hidden reference to Metal Gear Solid.

Follow the steps below to find the easter egg for yourself! Or, if you don't want to, just watch the video at the bottom of this section.

First Step

Right at the very start of Chapter III: "Chimes of the Past", pass the graveyard either by shadow jumping over the torii or by taking the path through the bushes to the left, and then come to this u-shaped path area.

Second Step

Head down towards the little gravestones towards the bottom of the path. Then look up to see a cliff edge shrouded in shadow.

Final Step

Having shadow jumped up the cliff, you will see a fox with a green knife in its mouth, next to a skull with an eyepatch. For fans of the game series, this will be easily understood and is a perfect homage to one of the best stealth games ever created. In Metal Gear, there is a character called Big Boss, and one of his many nicknames is "The Fox", because he founded a special forces unit named FOXHOUND. Big Boss also sports an eyepatch, and the FOXHOUND logo is of a fox with a green knife in its mouth. You can learn more about this character here.[metalgear.wikia.com] Personally, I think this is one of the best easter eggs found so far!

Dark Souls
Lince Works have decided to throw in a cheeky reference to Dark Souls, a game about having to kindle fires and whatnot. What better game to put it in than one that heavily enforces the concept of light and dark?

Follow the steps below to find the easter egg for yourself! Or, if you don't want to, just watch the video at the bottom of this section.

First Step

On Chapter V: "The Great Lake", make your way to the other side of the lake. (This is the area you head to just after you pick up the talisman in this chapter.) Destroy the light orb and make your way out of the small hut, take a right around said hut and head towards a broken fence.

Second Step

Shadow jump through the fence. Ahead of you, there is a small incline. Shadow jump up here.

Third Step

Once you are through the incline, follow the right side all the while you avoid the guards. (Or just kill them first!) There will be a narrow passage between two rock faces. Head through here to see a hole in the rock.

Final Step

Shadow jump through the hole in the rock to come to a lovely little cave, illuminated by none other than a Dark Souls bonfire. Enjoy this little reference before leaving to continue on your way!

The Triforce
There is a very sneaky reference to Legend of Zelda in Chapter VI: "Mausoleum of the Fallen".

Follow the steps below to find the easter egg for yourself! Or, if you don't want to, just watch the video at the bottom of this section.

First Step

In Chapter VI: "Mausoleum of the Fallen", make your way to the wind area, as shown in the screenshot.

Second Step

Make your way to the tower in the middle, and shadow jump up there.

Final Step

It is really bright at the top, so you have to focus on the right spot to see the Triforce clearly. But there it is, at the top of the tower in the wind area, just sitting there. This is a nice little reference that exists in the world of Aragami.

Mulan
In Chapter VII: "Kyuryu", there is a reference to the film Mulan.

Follow the steps below to find the easter egg for yourself! Or, if you don't want to, just watch the video at the bottom of this section.

First Step

Having made your way past the graveyard at the start of the chapter, head across the bridge as you would do normally to progress in the game.

Second Step

Head to the area containing one of the light orbs you need to destroy to get into the city. From the position of the screenshot, head straight foward and stop at the corner.

Final Step

Look up to see a wooden pole with an arrow at the top. This is a reference to the animated Disney film: Mulan. You can watch the scene this easter egg is referencing here.

Tenchu
Seeing as Aragami is a ninja based game, why not put in a few Tenchu references?

Follow the steps below to find the easter egg for yourself! Or, if you don't want to, just watch the video at the bottom of this section.

First Step

On Chapter VIII: "The Old Sage", head to the light orb closest to the start of the chapter. (You can find it by going left at the beginning of the level.)

Second Step

Head in the direction Aragami is facing in the previous screenshot. Once you have passed between the two houses, turn right to see a door which is slightly open. Make your way to the door and shadow jump inside the house.

Final Step

Inside the room you will find a dead skeleton, laying on the floor next to a table with a bowl on it. The skeleton has metal fangs, so these are the remains of Rikimaru from Tenchu. He dies from eating a bowl of poisoned rice balls, which is what the bowl laying on the table next to him is referencing. It's cool to see a reference to a game which Aragami takes inspiration from!

Thanks for Reading!
Thanks for reading this guide!

If you have anymore easter eggs to contribute, link screenshots or videos down below. (Videos for easter eggs that don't yet have videos will be heavily appreciated!) They will be added to the guide so everyone can see them. If you have any audio/speech references from Kaiho soldiers, then make sure to make a comment with the dialogue in it, and link a video if you have one.

But anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this guide!

I've noticed other Easter eggs in the dialogue including a reference to Navi from Ocarina of Time.

I'm pretty sure that one of the achievements is also a reference to Metal Gear Solid. The one called Aragami? Aragami!. I got it for dying at final boss few times and when Snake dies they call out his name in similar fashion to the achievements name. The image itself looks to me like the radio screens from older titles.

Also, do achievements count into easter eggs as well? The achievement 'Paint it black' is probably a reference to the song with the same name by the Rolling Stones

Possible Wolverine reference in the cinematic at the end of ch 8. When Kamiko and Aragami are talking you see three claw marks across a wall in the back.
