As said in the mod description, it doesnt remove original belief at all :
-Add approx. 90 beliefs, These beliefs are mostly an expand from existing beliefs for a wider choice for all beliefs type. (check screenshot)
-All vanilla belief were renamed for grouping purpose and to blend with the added beliefs. Now when you browse them while creating a religion, you have a more organised view.
Thanks to you, you really grasped the intention behind the mod. The situation you described is exactly what this mod is made for, more choices in response to bad situation (like an unwanted starting location).
Instead of restarting your game for a better spot, you played along.
