71-605

解説
71-605 aka KTM-5 is a Soviet car famous for being the most numerous streetcar vehicle in history. Also it is remarkable by its unique chain-gear doors, parts unified with Soviet autos and cosmic corrugated design.

This car still works in many Russian, Ukrainian and Belrus cities. It is even used in EU: Latvian Daugavpils still uses some of old Soviet cars with pole-type panthograph, wich is especially remarkable.

In game this car is a bit more expensive, then its co-timers because of its relatively high speed (75 km/h) and monstrous capacity (35 for single and 70 for EMU). For detailed characteristics please see screenshots.

This model has:
  • realistic rextures;
  • detailed interior with passengers and driver;
  • recoloring livery;
  • full custom sounds;
  • animated doors, wheels etc.

If You like it and want some more, You can always make a little donation.

Both 71-403 and 71-405 (as known as "Спектр"/"Spektr"/"Spectrum") are just clones of Tatra T6B5 with simplified design and different engines. These are high-floor "old-school" cars. There is olso more modern 71-407 car with low floor on the middle, but it is still not cutting edge. KTM8 (71-608K) as serving in Daugavpils is a rare car nowadays. Most of these cars were operated in Moscow and now they all are suspended and sold/scraped. Most of other cities have just a couple of these car or alredy had got rid of them. These cars have wider body (2,6 m to 2,5 m of KTM-5) and are more comfy to passenger and driver, but it is still a KTM5 basically.

I was talking about 71-403 and 71-407. They at least look better than the Ust-Katav models ;-)

Of course, I can talk easily, did not even get close to any of those Russian (and Belorussian) models. I only know the KTM-5 from Daugavpils (was there a few month before the KTM-23 and KTM-31 arrived there). The KTM-8 singleton was stored in the old depot, which was not connected to the network that time, so I missed my chance to ride it...

KTM-23 basically is KTM-19 with a pit on the middle. It is noisy, bad-assembled bucket-with-nails, as we call it here. I often ride them here in Moscow and may say it is nothing to compare with German or even Polish cars.There are some more progressive models, designed in UKVZ, but built in TVZ (Tver Reilcar Factory). But I never ride themm only saw on transport exibitions. Uraltransmash makes only bad designed clones of Tatra T6B5. 71-414, if you mean it, is not built in Russia, it is exported Polish PESA car, and it is known officialy. It is called "UVZ 71-414" only to override our "counter-sanction" laws. As it always in Russia - laws are severe, but there is always an option to dodge them.

Belarus cars (Stadler) are nice, but very bad assembled, even comparing with Russian. But if you compare overall design off course they are much more modern than Russian.

after all, the KTM-23 don't seem that bad, and there are good (looking) new trams from Uraltransmash too. Belkomunmash also has some successful models, although I don't like their design...
