If you do change the stats can you make a seperate version? I like just the reskin.

Not 100% sure having not done it myself for a vanilla unit, I would try adding the land_units_table, renaming it then removing everything apart from these guys.
At that point you should only need to change the armour type to a heavier one.
Worst that can happen is when you run the game with it, it'll crash but I think this should do the trick.

if someone is willing to teach me how to edit units stats i'll gladly do it haha

Just think about them using an armour that's made of cheap iron, DarknessXAM.

could you change or make a version that gives them more armor stat? I always feel weird using an armored reskin for a unit with 30 armor

I didn't realize you'd left the flatter of the helms in the rotation, the ones you have in the first screenshot look considerably better.
