ACI Predictor Class Flak Frigate, produced by Ares Combat Industries

The Predictor Class has been ultimately constructed to take on the important role of a screening ship. This warship is able to put out a large amount of flak fire and therefore excels at taking down smaller strike craft. The Predictor features powerful hydrogen based engines, which enable it to enter and leave a planetary atmosphere. ACI began to implement this feature on its 3rd Generation warships because more and more battles started taking place on planets, which could not be reached by the older generation of its warships. The Predictor requires minimal crew which greatly reduces the overall ship cost. The Flak Frigate is mostly used as patrol craft in peace times and is often seen escorting and screening large Praetor class or Ascendancy class warships in conflicts and skirmishes.
