Boreal theme. Temperate version of this theme is here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1546100254

UPDATE 2 Jan 2018 fixed overly saturated forest floor color, new water and foam normals, same low file size

Update 28 July 2017 -
- No Ruined Texture under buildings
- Improved Textures but still fine for low end PCs
- No Daylight Classic required, but DC will still give you nice results

Update May 2017 Multiple improved textures

UPDATE 1 Oct 2016 - Added custom water foam
Celtic Coast - based in Boreal biome (nice foggy feeling)
This is to replace the original Celtic terrain theme first used for the Conwy, Wales map. It's taken a long time to convert this one - sorry about that but I think waiting allowed me to learn more.

Images: You will see a variety of effects in the images. They are all with Daylight Classic with at least classic sunlight intensity selected. After that, I took images with various selections on Daylight Classic as well as using Cloud and Fog Toggler mod.

I tried to get the richest grass while still trying to prevent tiling. The ruined texture leans towards the rusty color of heath/moor, which is what Ore texture represents. Ore has a nice pattern to it.

To make farm fields, ore oil and fertile go nicely together.

Water: I checked with TPB, it seems difficult at the moment to remove the very strong reflection on top of the water. At least when you look horizontally at closer zoom, there is some nice color I was able to squeeze out of it. Still, the water in boreal is very difficult to make clear and make a deep color. We are stuck with a silvery opaqueness until someone figures out how to customize the water reflection.

Images taken on Conwy, Wales map.

Wow thanks for quick reply!
Awesome I'll take a look! (also use Relight)

Hi! I'm still here at the party, so you're not late :D The best IMO is an LUT by Reaper and a pack by creativeDex, which has several different well-made LUTs for both players who don't use the Relight mod and those who do. You can get really nice results in almost any environment using Daylight Classic plus one of these LUTs.

Hi! Thanks for the great theme!
I know I'm pretty late to the party here; was just wondering if anybody has LUT recommendations for this theme and / or the temperate version of this theme?
Many thanks

Thanks, I'll go subscribe that one too!

(My current build is conifer-heavy, though, so I'm happy with boreal for it.)

Thanks me22ca! This one is for boreal maps, so if you want a version for temperate maps, it's over here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1546100254
Happy building!

Wonderful theme! The bit of colour on the ore is a great balance of making the resource area clear without it looking at all out of place.

Ran this theme on the Crna Gora map and was completely blown away. Most beautiful thing I've ever seen in CS!
