"This insert, from a DVD movie magazine, made a critical error in what the prize was suppose to be. Supposedly, you could win a "Nintendo Playstation 2000!". All you had to do was send in this insert and you were entered into the contest to win your very own Nintendo Playstation 2000. Mind you this was back in 2000. This is a real insert and no photoshop was done. This was from a real insert for "Schwann DVD Advance" magazine. (This isn't my artwork as this is an adverticement for a contest from a magazine insert.)"

Actually, the real truth is, back during the SNES days, Sony pitched an idea for the system to compete with the SEGA CD. Sony offered them an add-on called the SNES Super CD system. Nintendo and Sony couldn't make an agreement, so Sony decided to make their own system and called it the "Playstation". No joke.

As for this, wasn't true at all. Someone was not thinking when they made this ad-insert.

I did not know of the 'partnership' fail, I thought it was just someone trying to scam and failing....
It seems even funnier now I know its real.
It is a very interesting clipping and shows how if they had joined they would have crushed Xbox, and be dominating the market now (just my thoughts).

LOL... Although in this case, the odds of winning this would be 0:0, unless, if only for a brief moment, Nintendo and Sony tried to agree on working together to make this game system, but then cancelled at the last minute.

The odd's of winning are '1 in 100' did they only expect 100 people to subscribe?
It all seem's a bit dodgy to me!
