After the release of the well-known Retribution Battlecruiser MK II ACI was obliged to create a suitable strike craft for its hangars and the result was the F-11 Sidewinder Interceptor, a small, lightweight and agile strike craft. ACI decided to power the Sidewinder solely with batteries, since the sidewinder was not intended to take part in lengthy stealth or reconnaissance missions. Its main use are minor recon missions, short assaults or the intercepting of enemy craft. The Sidewinder broadens the Retributions area of operation making the Battlecruiser an even more formidable opponent.
