1 - Intro
Welcome to my Achievement Guide for Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars!

Conception II: CotSS is the second game in your franchise, the first to be released outside of Japan, and is a sequel to the 2012 PSP title, "Conception: Ore no Kodomo o Undekure!" (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!).

Conception II is an RPG, with semi-tactical turn-based battles. The main gimmick of this game is known as Classmating, which is used to create Star Children with the heroines to accompany the main character and one heroine into the Labyrinth dungeons. To create stronger Star Children, it is important to build a strong relationship with the heroines through interaction events.

But despite being the second game of the franchise, is not required to play the first game to understand, then just enjoy the title!

I separated the guide into six parts, to be easier to get what you want, and for better understanding~
2 - Main Story
For your first playthough, simply enjoy the story and build relationships with the seven heroines of the game to maximum levels, while being prudent to view their individual story events in each chapter and all seven variants of the Chapter 5, 6, and 7 intro events. Be sure to try out each heroine in the Labyrinths at least once, to decide which heroine is your preferred battle partner.

The following trophies cannot be missed by any means, and will be unlocked simply by playing the story mode to completion:

  • First-Timer
    Defeat a monster

  • Collaborative Effort
    Classmate once

  • Conqueror of Lust
    Complete Chapter 1

  • Conqueror of Gluttony

  • Conqueror of Wrath
    Complete Chapter 5

  • Conqueror of Envy
    Complete Chapter 6

  • Conqueror of Pride
    Complete Chapter 7

    Complete Chapter 8

Additional achievements that should also unlock during this step are as follows:

Each of the nine endings have an associated achievement:

  • With Friends
    Standard ending

  • ♥♥♥♥♥'s Bond
    ♥♥♥♥♥'s ending

    Ellie's ending

  • Narika's Bond

For more details about the personal endings, use the tab "5 - Heroine Events Details".
3 - Heroine Event cleanup, New Game+
After completing the game the first time, you'll have the option to start a New Game +. NG+ can be started from two different points, Prologue or Chapter 7. If you have obtained all nine ending trophies noted in step 1, there is no need to use the Chapter 7 option. Your main focus on this playthrough will be to earn missing character events.

During your NG+, everything will transfer forward except for cleared sub-Labyrinths, heroine affection levels, and some shop items. You'll be heavily relying on your existing Star Children, and will be avoiding making any un-needed Star Children at least until the main focus is complete.

The following trophies are related to the main focus:
  • Memories with ♥♥♥♥♥
    View all ♥♥♥♥♥ Events

  • Memories with Ellie
    View all Ellie Events

  • Memories with Narika
    View all Narika Events

  • Memories with Chloe
    View all Chloe Events

  • Memories with Serina
    View all Serina Events

  • Memories with Torri
    View all Torri Events

  • Memories with Feene
    View all Feene Events

All heroines have 45-48 character events that can be viewed in the Database. Events will be saved as viewed on a global "database save" upon viewing, and this can be exploited to make event collection easier. There are eight affection-related events per-heroine in the game, and if you maxed out the affection of all seven heroines during the main story, you'll have at least two of these events, and up to 56 if you farmed them all. If you rose the affection to max every time in main story, and farmed the specific 7 for the affection rating you had at the time, you should have 14

  • First affection-related events to cover are Festival [Friend/Good] and Starmas [Friend/Good/Lover] happen at the beginnings of Chapter 6 and 7, respectively. The Friend variants of these events happen at 0-2 affection bars, the Good variants at 3-4 bars, and the Lover variant at 5-7 affection bars.

  • The second affection-related events to cover are the Urban Encounter events. The game has a hidden timer that reduces by one every time you enter most facilities in Fort City. The Academy is the best place to grind the timer down, due to significantly shorter load times. The first variant, "Urban Encounter", is obtained with low affection. It is best obtained at an affection of 1 bar, and can be obtained starting at Chapter 1 (later chapters for Serina, Torri, and Feene). The second variant, "Take Me In! (1)", is obtained at medium affection. It is best obtained after Chapter 3, before Chapter 6, and with an affection of 3 bars. The final variant, "Take Me In! (2)", is obtained at high affection. It can be obtained starting in Chapter 6, with an affection of 5 bars or higher. You will likely have a random assortment of these from step 1, unless you farmed them earlier.

In addition to affection-related events, there are three other event types: Character Story, Story Comments, and Personal Interaction.

  • Character Story events are obtained at the Academy and Church. During each chapter, a new Classmating event opens up. Between the Classmating events are two character story events at the Academy that must be completed before the next Classmating event can be seen. These 23 events must all be seen to unlock the character endings and harem ending. These events should all be unlocked during step 1.

  • Story Comments are chapter sensitive interaction events exclusively at the Academy. ♥♥♥♥♥, Ellie, Narika, and Chloe all have 8 (Chapters 1-8), Serina has 7 (Chapters 2-8), Torri has 6 (Chapters 3-8), and Feene has 5 (Chapters 4-8). These must be seen in their specific chapter, or they will be missed.

  • Personal Interaction are chapter semi-sensitive. Each heroine has eight of these events, and a new one becomes available with each chapter. Serina, Torri, and Feene will join the party with 2, 3, and 4 of these events available.
4 - Miscellaneous
After obtaining the seven achievements for all heroine events viewed, you are free to cleanup any achievement missed during your gameplay. All of these achievements can be earned during the first playthrough too, but aren't required to complete the story

  • Fine Fort City
Increase Fort City to Lv 30

  • Perfect Fort City
Increase Fort City to Lv 100

  • Open For Business
    Unlock all facilities.

  • Maxed Out
Raise all facilities to Lv MAX

  • Moneymaker
Build your held G count up to 1,000,000. This is not cumulative, all 1,000,000 must be held at one time.

An easy way to earn this around Chapter 7 or 8 is to save your game, then sell all items you own. If the combined sale price of all your items and currently held G doesn't amass to 1,000,000G, you will need to grind some more battles, find more items to sell, and avoid spending money unless absolutely needed. After an attempt, you can reload your previous save to return all the sold items to your inventory.

  • The Secret of Bonds
    Give 30 gifts

  • Filial Piety
Receive money from independent Star Children 30 times

After leaving a Labyrinth, there is a chance that an independent Star Child will send you some money when you visit the Dorm. Have this happen 30 times, and the achievement will unlock.

This can be easily farmed through 3 steps:

    • 1 - Go to the Dorm, and save your game.
    • 2 - Go to any Labyrinth and immediately escape.
    • 3 - Return to your Dorm and see if you get a gift

If you received a gift from one of your Star Children, reload immediately and repeat Steps 2 & 3 until the achievement unlocks.

If you didn't receive a gift from one of your Star Children, start the process again from Step 1.

  • World's Biggest Family
Give birth to 100 Star Children

This can also be farmed through saving before Classmating, then reloading after using up all of your BP. However, with the need to raise Fort City's level to 100, this method should only be used after Fort City is Lv 100.

  • Independence Day
    Make 10 Star Children independent

  • Child Labor
    Make 100 Star Children independent

Star Children can be made independent at any level by using the option "Independence" under "Team Edit" at the Dorm. This achievement can be earned without giving 100 unique Star Children independence by saving before making any Star Children independent, make all of your Star Children independent, then reloading and repeat the process. However, with the need to raise Fort City's level to 100, this method should only be used after Fort City is Lv 100.

  • Classy Children
Give birth to a Star Child of each class at least once for this achievement.

There are 30 different classes that newly born Star Children may be given, eight standard classes, ten advanced classes, and twelve special classes. All classes have minimum stat requirements, and special classes may require a special item, be locked to a specific sex, require previous Star Children of specific classes to have reached a specific level, or clear a number of sub-Labyrinths.

***Spoiler Protect - Move your mouse on black square to see***

Class items can be found in sub-Labyrinths, dropped (1x) or pickpocketed (3x) from monsters. One copy of the item is used up when a Star Child is assigned the class at birth.

  • Monster Killer
    Instantly kill 100 monsters

God's Gift has a special ability that allows him to instantly defeat significantly weaker enemy parties upon impact with them in the Labyrinth. You will need to be walking into the enemy for this ability to trigger, an enemy running into you will trigger a battle as normal. Do this 100 times in any Labyrinth, Lust being the easiest, and this achievement will unlock.

  • Mecunite Artist
    Mecunite 30 times

Mecunite costs 200BP to use, and temporarily combines a party of three Star Children into a powerful robot form. Only one party of Star Children can be Mecunited at a time in battle. Use Mecunite 30 times for this achievement.

  • Combo Expert
    Perform 30 Intercepts

When an enemy attacks one of your teams, one of the other teams may jump in to try and prevent or reduce damage taken by the attack. The Protagonist's team may perform a counterattack if they jump in, which automatically defeats the enemy Additionally, when one of your Star Children teams attacks, one of the Protagonist's team may jump in and join the attack to try and cause more damage to the enemy. Both of these are Intercepts, and happen randomly and rather rarely (though the frequency increases based on how often your current Star Children have been brought into the Labyrinths with you). When your party has performed 30 of these, this trophy will unlock.

Because of the random nature of Intercepts, this may require grinding. A simple way to do so at no risk is to go to the Lust Labyrinth during Chapter 7. Allow an enemy party to initiate battle & only select Guard until you have earned enough Intercepts for the achievement. This may take a few battles if instant kill Intercepts happen too often.

  • Chain Master
    Perform 100 Chains

During Battle, you can boost the chain gauge by attacking points of monsters that show a blue arrow before confirming the command. Skills such as Gran Chain, and Temple Chain can significantly boost the chain gauge. Additionally, skills that attack multiple points on a monster will also result in a higher boost to the chain gauge. Killing an enemy with a blow that would have triggered a chain, however, will instantly reduce the chain gauge. Activate a chain 100 times for this achievement.

  • Vigilant Avenger
    Clear all sub-Labyrinths

This achievement will become unlockable during Chapter 8 only, when the last sub-Labyrinths become open. All sub-Labyrinths have five main floors and a boss floor at the end. The boss battle consists of regularly found monsters, at a slightly higher difficulty than normal. Simply reach the final floor and defeat the boss of each sub-Labyrinth for this achievement.
5 - Heroine Events Details
  • Memories with ♥♥♥♥♥
    View all ♥♥♥♥♥ Events.

Joining the party in Chapter 1, ♥♥♥♥♥ has 48 events. Events are broken down into 23 Character Story events, 8 Story Comment events, 8 Personal Interaction events, 6 Special Occasion events, and 3 Urban Encounter events.

Character Story events are viewed at both the Church and Academy. The very first event, "The Ritual", seen at the Academy. After viewing "The Ritual", a new Classmating event will be available at the start of each chapter (including Chapter 1). After the Classmating event has been seen, there will be two events that can be viewed at the Academy and must be viewed before the next Classmating event can be seen. The final event of this group are the character endings. These can be farmed by meeting the requirements for all seven, and reloading a save file made right after defeating the Chapter 8 boss.

Story Comment events are viewed exclusively at the Academy, and are chapter-sensitive. Each heroine will have one event per chapter that they are a member of the party. These events must be viewed before defeating the chapter's Dusk Spawner/main boss.

Personal Interaction events are also viewed exclusively at the Academy, and can be repeated. A new one will unlock for each heroine at the beginning of each chapter. Serina, Torri, and Feene will 2, 3, and 4, available PI events when they join the party.

Special Occasion events happen exclusively at the beginning of Chapters 5-7.

  • The first event is Pool [Friend], which is not affection-sensitive and can be farmed by reloading the save made after defeating the fourth Dusk Spawner.
  • The second events are Festival [Friend], and Festival [Good], which happen at 0-2 and 3-5 affection respectively. These events can also be farmed by reloading a previous save file, but will require a save before defeating the fifth Dusk Spawner with heroine affection at a minimum to earn them ASAP.
  • The third events are Starmas [Friend], Starmas [Good], and Starmas [Lover], which happen at 0-2, 3-4, and 5-7 affection respectively. Like the Festival events, they can also be farmed by reloading a previous save file, but will require a save before defeating the fifth Dusk Spawner with heroine affection at a minimum to earn them ASAP.

Urban Encounter events can happen at almost any facility in Fort City, for any heroine that has been properly introduced to the protagonist by completing "The Ritual" event with them. These events are affection based and lightly chapter based. There are three versions:

  • "Urban Encounter" at 0-2 affection, Chapter 1+ (No more than 1 affection recommended.)
  • "Take Me In! (1)" at 3-4 affection, Chapter 3+ (No more than 3 affection recommended.)
  • "Take Me In! (2)" at 5-7 affection, Chapter 6+

Don't mean to be a bother.. But do you think you could convert a guide for Conception Plus from playstation trophies when it shows up on there?

Oh, indeed.
The achievements uses the same description of the trophies in PSN Vita version, so is common be the same or similar.
But isn't my article.

For the Festival/Starmas events, after getting 1 purple bar (affection?), should I not get anymore until chapter 6/7 so I'm able to get all the endings? Will this hinder game play at all? And am I still able to get all of the other event achievements at that point except the missables - I understand you can decrease mood, but can you decrease affection?
Taika 15 Apr, 2017 @ 3:35am
That's great, thanks!

me again, sorry. Do you have a link to the event-table you found? I'd like to refer to it easily but mousing over it each time is a bit annoying, and it gets blurry if I put it in paint.
Taika 14 Apr, 2017 @ 2:22am
ah ok thanks for the clarity! :D
