Introduction

Do you like hurting other people?

Of course we do.

Hello and welcome to the 4th guide on my Hotline Miami series of builds :D This time around it's the turn of our mask-lover, melee-enthusiast and tape-recorder-wielding chicken!

While using his trademark Richard mask, Jacket is deprived of all the perks and quirks his array of animal masks could provide. But even without that zoo, Jacket's far from defenseless.

Strike first, strike hard and strike fast. That's the only way you will survive in the russian-infested Miami and now, the cop-infested Washington D.C. !

So now without further ado, grab your chicken head, check your answering machine and prepare to shred everything in your way!

We hope you have a pleasant flight.

Overview
Skills - Mastermind

Starting off with the Medic side of this build, you got a steady supply of maxed out First Aid Kits for you and your team while also packing the always useful Inspire.

Stable Shot basic for that much-needed Stability.

Skills - Enforcer

Underdog Aced helps you with both a damage reduction and damage buff when 3 or more enemies surround you.

Any Hotline Miami fan could agree that shotguns are the power-house of that game, dropping enemies in a rain of lead. The skills taken in the Shotgunner subtree aim to fill up that badass role in the Payday world.

Both Shotgun CQB and Shotgun Impact Aced turn your shotguns into quick and efficient killing machines. Overkill basic it's the icing on this death-cake.

Resilience and Die Hard Aced beef up your Lightweight Ballistic Vest while also making you resistant to the ever-annoying flashbangs.

Shock and Awe Aced further improves your armor recovery rate while also giving you the upper hand against Shields.

Bullseye Aced will help you sustain your armor up for longer periods of times, something much needed with this build.

Iron Man basic steps up your Lightweight Ballistic Vest with 30% more armor.

Skills - Technician

Steady Grip Aced for added Accuracy and Stability, much needed with all the SMGs.

Lock n' Load basic will keep your guns ready even while running.

Surefire Aced will both increase your magazines by 15 bullets and give your weapons the ability to pierce body armor, which makes spraying enemies a viable option with the addition of Body Expertise basic, improving your bodyshot damage.
Skills - Ghost

Duck and Cover Aced makes you run faster and have a little extra dodge while doing so.

Parkour Aced further improves your running speed and gives you the option to run and reload at the same time.

I decided not to get neither Sneaky B*stard nor Low Blow to avoid limiting the arsenal Jacket could use to only weapons with high Concealment.
Skills - Fugitive
Now into the bashing and cracking.

Martial Arts basic to resist melee damage from enemies, skill much needed when you are playing a dodge setup.

Pumping Iron basic to further improve your melee damage against non-special units. Why no Pumping Iron Aced, you ask? Same reason as with Mark ^^ because I don't really think that stabbing, slashing or hitting a Taser or Cloaker it's a very good Idea.

And last but not least, one of my new favorite skills, Bloodthirst Aced.

The melee damage increase when killing enemies and the added reload speed makes you a swift and quick killing machine. This also fits really great with the combo system of Hotline Miami, because to make the most of these skills you need to think fast and kill even faster. The Hotline Miami way ;)

Perk Deck

Yeah, yeah. Jacket's uh... jacket would be more fitting for the cosplay, but I wanted to make the build more survivable with the added armor. Because of that, Crook will be the choice.
Also, this grants you the 30 base Dodge regardless of your weapon's concealment.
Armor - Lightweight Ballistic Vest

Stopping bullets without ruining the looks.
Weapons - Primary
Shotguns are the powerhouse of Hotline Miami so they deserve our primary slot in Payday 2 ;) These are my recommendations:

The Old School Cool Option - Mosconi 12G Shotgun

As old as it gets, the double barrel shotgun has earned its reputation in both media and in real life. Leave it as it is to preserve those stats or chop it down to make Tubbs proud.
  • Flechette
  • No Barrel mod
  • Whatever boost you want
  • No Stock mod

The Pardo Option - Reinfeld 880 Shotgun

Detective Pardo's signature boomstick makes another appearance in my guides, very useful with that magazine capacity which will help you keep up with the combos.
  • Flechette
  • King's Crown Compensator
  • Whatever boost you want
  • Zombie Hunter Pump
  • LED Combo
  • Rubber or Pro Grip
  • Extended Magazine
  • No sights
  • Government Issue Tactical Stock
  • Shell Rack
Weapons - Secondary
Jacket's Piece

Jacket's signature SMG imported straight from Miami. Hard hitting, cool looking and in-line with the character, the most outrun-ish weapon there is.
  • Slotted Barrel Extension
  • Whatever boost you want
  • No Custom mod
  • LED Combo
  • No Sights
  • War-Torn Stock
  • 80's Calling

The Czech Option - Cobra Submachine Gun

Straight outta' the Hotline Miami DLC, this little fella trades a little damage, rate of fire and accuracy for a deeper ammo pool and magazine size.
  • Tactical Compensator
  • Whatever boost you want
  • No Custom mod
  • Pocket Laser
  • Wooden Grip
  • Extended Magazine
  • No Sights
  • No Stock mod

The Richter Option - Uzi Submachine Gun

Jacket and Richter might have started their relationship with the left foot, but that doesn't mean they can't share some weapons. Ditching the silencer, this weapon grants you more accuracy at the cost of rate of fire.
  • Tactical Compensator
  • Whatever boost you want
  • No Custom mod
  • Tactical Foregrip
  • LED Combo
  • No Sights
  • Ergonomic Stock
Weapons - Melee
The Baseball Bat

The whole roster of Hotline Miami characters is known for their melee capacities, and Jacket is not the exception. Blunt weapons, sharp weapons, unconventional weapons, a freaking pot of water! Jacket can kill with it, so don't be shy to try whatever you want.
Weapons - Throwable
HEF Grenade

Stun Dozers, kill Shields.

Simple, effective.
Final Words
And that's all for my take on Jacket :) I know it might not be 100% character accurate, but it's a fun build nonetheless. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Leave a comment and tell me what you think :)

Special thanks to Zen for helping me out in this one.

Why did you choose Slotted Barrel Extension over Tactical Compensator for Jacket Piece?
