This guide will help you to pick the hero most suited for your current squad in the lobby, and such making sure your squad has the advantage on the enemy in terms of hero composition!

How to use the flowchart

Start in the top left corner and look at your current team setup. If the anwser to a question is yes, move down. If the anwser is no, move a tile right.
By also following the arrows, you will end up in a row of the colored area. Preferably pick one of the recommended heroes, but if the recommendation doesn't fit you, then look at the good pick and backup pick sections. Don't take a hero in the "Don't pick" section.

Look here when I use a term you don't know

Brains: Tony, Eliza, Genie and Vander
Brawn: Sarge, Cog, SS, Yuri and Roly
Skill: Nigel, OP, Asta, Kira and Kreepy

Defensive player: Any player who claims to be defending, regardless of hero choice
Defender: Tony, Eliza, Vander, Yuri, Nigel, OP, Kira, Kreepy
Brains defender: Tony, Eliza, Vander
Interceptor defender: Nigel, Kira, Yuri, OP, Kreepy

Attackers: Sarge, Cog, SS, Roly, Genie, Eliza, Vander, Kira, Asta
Spam attacker: Sarge, Cog, Roly, Kira, Asta

It's 1,5 years old. Of course the meta has shifted since then.

Yeah but having a bad team setup can undermine even the best skillset and good cooperation.

Picking certain heroes dont win a battle. Skills and team cooperation is what win most battles.

Hmm, I don't believe in this picking system. Cause BnL has lots of various tactics which includes tactics without brain or brawn or skill or even with five same heroes. And they work cause i used to win with them (against squads with "right" pick). As i think, this theory has come from MOBAs where each pick has one certain tactic, but BnL isn't a MOBA but a tactical shooter. So imho in BnL match result depends of individual skills and team cooperation only, not pick.
