I see many conflicting guides about hook signals, with some saying rapidly struggle if the killer is camping and some saying rapidly struggle if it is safe. Sometimes I see people recommending confusing signals in lobbies, like using morse code for SOS if it's safe, or different patterns meaning different things ex: if the killer is heading towards your rescuers. A lot of these signals either don't give enough information, are to confusing to understand, or just don't get the point across, and with so many signals, how is one to know what to do?

I think there is a much simpler solution here- struggle to the heartbeat caused by the killer. The further away he is, the less often you struggle, and once he's left, stop struggling and wait for help. If it seems like your team has forgotten you, struggle once or twice then wait. If nobody is going to come, attempt escape like usual.

TL;DR- Struggle to your heartbeat, it's simple.

NOTE: I do not think in any way that signals others have proposed are bad, nor do I demand anyone to use this signal. Rather, I think my signal could help others and would ask that if you DO like it, try to get others to use it. If you don't like it, stick to what you use now. I would recommend struggle spamming if the killer is hook camping like most already do- I can testify that it does indeed work, I just thought I would add some depth to it.
