Introduction
So, did you ever think "Oh boy, why does Austria always get Anschluss'd, it was about to go democratic?" ?

Here you go:
Part 1 : The popular support
What you want to do first is to simply boost popularity for the party of your choice in Austria until your party of choice got about 1/3 of the support
Part 2: The coup
Now at that point, contribute political power to a coup in Austria. If you're lucky, Anschluss finishes while Austria is in a civil war.
Part 3: The trick
Now, this is the catch:

The Austria governed by Schuschnigg and the Vaterländische Front gets annexed, and "your" Austria doesn't.

This puts the civil war into a kind of limbo: It technically ends, but "your" Austria isn't touched by Germany or Schuschnigg-Austria.

And voilá, part of Austria still exists after Anschluss.

If you decline it you are absolutely, hilariously, smashed to pieces.

That only works if you're playing Austria yourself. If you, for some reason, want to deny Germany to gain Austrian territory while playing another county, denying Anschluss doesn't work.

Or you just decline the Anschluss.
