[Requires "Brave New World" DLC]

New civilization "Cultists" for fantasy-themed maps. The Dark Priest as their leader. This is a conquest/destruction based civ.

Special Traits:

- Hellfire: Cannot gain settlers. Raze cities at double speed. Units fight as though they were at full strength even when damaged and receive a rare random promotion after their first combat. The Guardian of the Underworld is summoned after researching Theology.

Special Units:

- Guardian of the Underworld: Very strong and fast melee unit. Can only be obtained once after researching Theology. Can't capture cities but it provides great combat bonuses to nearby friendly units and increases the chance to generate Great Generals every time it defeats an enemy.

- Succubus: Special unit that can only be summoned by building a Summoning Altar. Very strong and fast unit, gets points towards Golden Age for every defeated enemy and ignores terrain costs.

Special Building:

- Summoning Altar: Unique demonic building replacing the Temple. +3 Faith. Summons three servant Succubus. Increased production cost.

A very fun civ to play as; It's aggressive enough to force me (generally a goody-two-shoes when I play this game) to conquer and murder and pillage. Just gotta let the other civs fill in the map with cities first.

A note: Yes, you can go Liberty and get a free settler, but please do not fix this! Also, please don't fix the ability to destroy and rebuild altars, because this was my only way of combating the Lich king at full steam - in other games, it usually takes 3-4 civs all together to wage war against him. My complete army had about 12 succubi along with the Guardian, and I was waging war on two fronts.

I personally think that even if this civ gets a second/third city, it's still balanced. They have a functional economy in late-game if they have at least one other city to take advantage of city connection bonuses like resource movement and such. The Assassin's Guild ends up getting trounced usually because they don't seem to fucntion like Venice as they're supposed to.

Just a suggestion for another mod, maybe a mercenaries group and a goblin group? the goblins would be able to build really quick but are really weak while mercenaries would be over powered but take a long time to make and have higher maintainence.

Cool mod. I did a test against the AI to try and kill them I used a super heroes mod and set two teams one vanilla and the other moded against them. I fought one war that ended in a stalemate. The AI for some reason did not get the Guardian of the underworld. Btw I started in industrial age. Infantry by themselves could easily deal with Succubus. the AI chose Order and surprissed me by having multiple cities. I will do another test soon with less mods.

Loving the GFC civs! Keep them coming! :D Any plans for an Ent civ? It seems like they get neglected a lot in Fantasy settings.

Anyway, great work!

Was the concept of this civ by any chance inspired by Endless Legends Cultist faction? Because they're my absolute favorite.
