Instead of a monochromatic Ctesiphus, one of many hues!

This is a piece of Freehold Games' mod tutorial.

Note: This is a scripting mod and will require manual approval in-game to execute.

WARNING: Be cautious when enabling scripting mods, because they could contain malicious code!

Mods with scripts will be disabled by default when downloaded, or any time the author changes them, and can be approved on the Installed Mod Config page reachable from the main menu.

Scripting code just runs unsandboxed with whatever permissions Caves of Qud is running with. This isn't unusual, Cities Skylines takes the same approach, for exaample; but I think it's worth mentioning so people can be properly cautious about it.

That's honestly a great question, but also a bad one, because the answer would give a goal to those who seek to create malicious code.

Is it possible to convert this into a mutation easily, or would attempting such a thing be a fool's errand? I simply wish to know if I am looking up a hill, a mountain, or a sheer vertical, completely smooth cliff face.
