Czechoslovakia, the country with the funny language and hot girls

(+) Solid slav industry, and decent amount of resources
(+) Sudety (or Sudetenland as the filthy Germans call it) can be defended for ages
(+) Pretty solid army
(-) Awful political status. Germany will almost definitely first demand Sudets and then the rest of your land
(-) Almost always a target of someone
(-) Eastern part is pretty awkward to defend

Polandball

(+) Stronkest of all Slav nations
(+) Polish Revanchism (OP national spirit)
(+) Stronk starting army
(+) If the defence is planned out well, Poland can hold out for ages
(+) Very good potential
(-) Must joint the Axis or the Comintern in order to survive (Allies are a pretty weak choice)
(-) Borders Germany on one side and the USSR on the other

South Slavs, the squatting lords of the Balkans

Romania, the ♥♥♥♥♥ Slavs

(+) Has a province with more oil than any other European province
(+) Solid location, Can defend very well from every neighbouring country
(+) Largest army of all the south Slavs, also the biggest nation
(-) Other nations have focuses (Germany, USSR) as well as events (Bulgaria) that let them demand land from you.
(-) ♥♥♥♥ all space to expand your industry.
(-) Starts as a democratic country with the neutral foreign policy

Yugoslavia, the Union of many slavs that might or might not implode someday

(+) Just behind Romania in terms of military strenght and size
(+) Pretty defensible from most directions.
(+) Has some resources, and there is space for industry
(-) 60 national unity
(-) Italy will almost definitely want to eat you.
(-) Its pretty likely that most of of your neighbours will turn fascist and want to eat you
(-) The default tank divisions are stupid

Hungary, not actually slavs but they try their best

(+) Starts fascist
(+) Natural ally of Germany, who has focuses to grant Hugary land
(+) Has some resources
(+) Starts with claims on 3 of its neigbours so you can fabricate pretty fast
(+) Solid location
(-) Smaller and weaker early compared to its neigbours
(-) Low manpower, little space for industry

Bulgaria, the slav nation that gets eaten every game

(+) Moderately defensive location
(+) Is almost fascist at the start of the game
(-) Smaller and weaker than every single one of its neighbours
(-) Starts with only 2 research slots
(-) Almost no resources, low manpower and little space for industry

Albania, a country so irrelevant most people cant name anyting Albanian

(+) Uhhh, I guess it has a lot of mountains for defence
(-) Italy gets a focus to annex it early
(-) One state, ♥♥♥♥ all space for industry and no manpower
(-) Both of its neighbours are vastly superior to it
(-) I cant think of any redeeming factors to this

The Baltic states of irrelevance

Estonia. Is it slav or is it nordic? Nobody knows.

(+) Has a somewhat defensible default border against the Soviet union, so atleast it wont die a day after the ivasion
(+) Is also 90% forest
(-) Very weak, insignificant and irrelevant
(-) Practically identical playstyle to Lithuania and Latvia

Latvia, the potato lords

(+) Can become "The Empire of the Thunder Cross" if Fascist
(+) Strategic large river flows trough this humble Slav nation
(-) No natural borders to the north and east
(-) Very weak, insignificant and irrelevant
(-) Slightly weaker than Estonia
(-) Practically identical in playstyle to Estonia and Lithuania

Lithuania, the nation with the really weird English translation of its name

(+) Slightly stronger than the other two baltic states
(+) Starts with an extra state, Memel
(-) Memel is demanded by Germany if they do the "Eastern Claims" which they most likely will do
(-) Has a few trees, thats about it when it comes to natural defences
(-) Practically identical in playstyle to Estonia and Latvia

Union of Squatting Slav Republics

Also known as the Union of Scum Slav Republics
Beware, is evil country wants to kill all other slavs.

(+) Oy blin its so big
(+) Many depressed slavs ready to die
(+) Lots of resources
(+) Lots of factories powered by slav(e) labour
(+) In a war the front will be inevitably massive
(+) Has two kids, Mongolia and Tannu Tuva
(-) Which are kinda useless
(-) Usually lonely and has no friends
(-) The Great Purge(c) and other early game shenanigans
(-) Somewhat an awkward focus tree

Gypsy, magyar and kebap exclave are not Slav! Potato lords are German LARPers, Estonia is warm Suomiland and Lithuania is little Poland in denial so they count I give you that.

Also how come България "gets eaten every game"? Along with Serb and Russki brother we are stronkest slavic nation! Българо-сръбско-съветска дружба!

I survived the war as Albania. Key was to start democratic coup in Italy's Sicily. It was very defensible spot for the few divisions the coups get (only land access via crossing a strait).

Italy got mixed up with that thing, just couldn't reclaim it, war progressed, the democratic coup nation joined the Allies, Allies steamrolled Italy.
