tldr

This has actually happened to me. It was an even match between my mixed nations army, and an army which was very heavy in Swadian knights. It was about half through the battle and i hadn't told my cav to charge (they were mostly sarranids and slavers). The Swadian knights were grouped up after taking out most of my infantry, i made a run for my cav and told them to charge. They were pretty far away so i turned to face my doom and maybe spear one of them off their horse. The lead knight had his lance down and was maybe 15 feet from me when out of no where he caught a Jarid right in the helmet and slumped off his horse, which stopped right in front of me, allowing me to re-mount. Went on to scrape by and win that one and i thank J'ameel the javelin master.
