Well, I have to say that I'm not disappointed in overall difficulty of HOI4 but as an old-time Paradox gamer I'd still wish it would be a little more complex - guess they'll include more depth with upcoming DLCs as usual. Until then it's good for players like you (who aren't that much into micro-managing every aspect) to get into the game :) As soon as they release national focus choices for China I will give it a try as well - a little more challenge needed after USofA match

@FnordScored23 fortunately I was playing on easy difficulty on my first try. Japan tended not to build tanks and contest for air supremacy. Since there was only infantry combat, I could push them back with my enormous manpower. Anyway, HOI4 is much better and player-friendly comparing to its predecessor. Can't really get into HOI3 before.
