Oh, eXceed 2nd. You Ikaruga-inspired you! You brutal, merciless and awesome at the same time shooter!

I will spare description space since the mechanics are all described in the site. Let's just say this run is intended to show even normal human beings can clear the game with some practice. Don't be afraid of the bullet hell!

REX features a dynamic difficulty setting so instead of having fixed modes, you have more control of the "rank". You can start easy and, as you get better, the difficulty slowly climbs to eXceed. However, you can sacrifice life to apply "rank control" and keep it down so you can stay safe. OR, you can go suicidal mode and start in eXceed Rank to keep it at the maximum at all times.

Max rank also implies more bullets, which means bigger chains and, of course, far more score so it's up to you to decide: will you play for survival only? Then pick easy rank and sacrifice a life whenever rank goes above normal. Want to play it safe and go for a 1cc but don't feel confident? Start in easy buy stay at higher ranks a bit longer, rack up lives and use them carefully.

Are you score monster? Then start with eXceed Rank, score like a beast and laugh at the amount of extends you are going to get!

That, people, that is Rank Control in the softest way. It's kind of a Raizing meets Ikaruga meets Bullet Hell. And I love it despite it's merciless difficulty.
