Continuing with this run, in this stage you can see what the eXceed rank causes to the mind: increased suicide bullets from enemies you kill with the same polarity, faster barrages (forcing you to strategically position yourself or get destroyed by their speed) and, of course (how could it be otherwise?) a greatly increased bullet count per barrage. Nice, eh?

Of course if you can cope with that, the score rewards are much, MUCH greater. And look at the brightside: more bullets means faster special weapon recharge which in turn means more invincibility time! Win/Win, people!

The boss here forces you to some quick polarity switches but it's not nearly as bad as the third boss, who has a lot of tricky patterns. And don't get me started on the 4th, who has NO polarity...
