There is a new feature to the Steam version of this game: To let you customize your own character by adding your own Images to the game. But it's not that simple as it sounds. I fiddled around a little and was able to successfully upload my own avatar.

They are transparent so scroll down and use post options -> download album then rename them without "" to said file bellow:


"userImgA" for for the biggest one, size: 746x720 (This is used for profile)
"userImgB" for the 2nd biggest one, size: 350x380 (This is used for avatar)
"userImgC" for the next smalles one, size: 160x240 (This is used for Card)
"userimgD" for the smallest one, size: 146x32 (this for cutin)


Or you can make your own with those samplesize, be sure when you're saving the files to either png bmp or jpg because game only read those 3 types of file.


Locate the game folder: \steamapps\common\Stranger of Sword City\


Look up the premade avatars in "USERDATA" folder to see how they're suppose to be. (MAKE A BACKUP OF THIS FOLDER IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THOSE FOR LATER)


Edit whatever you want onto templates close enough to the likes of premade ones so yours doesn't look ugly ingame when you import them.


Save them and put those 4 files into one of the 16 folders under "PICTUREGATE" folder.


When you're done start the game and go to options -> pick the number of the one you just saved these files in then hit upload if you're done everything right you'll get:










if you want another character just put in on another folder.
Congratulations! Now you can play whoever you want!

Recommend use character cut outs without so many colors and colored background.
