Undiverse Humanities

Beschreibung
The mod adds in the ability to pick a more restrictive set of portraits for human pops. Particularly, one can use only portraits of a single gender, or those of a single broad ethnic category (from caucasian, asian, middle eastern, or black), or to really lock things down, both at once.

You can also make leaders be pulled from a more restrictive set than the general population. Limiting leadership roles to men or to women can be set and even changed in-game with a new policy, available to all species with gender (and therefore NOT available if you've chosen a monogendered human population.) Limiting them to a single race requires the choice of the appropriate species portrait.

New choices are available at the end of the 'Humanoid' category, in the form of little text boxes rather than actual pop images for the sake of clarity. There are also appropriately limited name lists available; these aren't particularly intensively done, as they consist simply of the regular human name lists with all the excluded categories removed.

These restrictive human categories can be used for predefined empires, but will not otherwise appear randomly. If multiple such human species exist in the same galaxy, they will be treated as subspecies of one another; thanks are due to Carrier002 and cbshing for pointing me at and creating (respectively) the code that makes this possible.

Okay, give it a try. In the future, if I seem to be ignoring questions here for a prolonged period, you can try sending me a PM; I'm more likely to see those. I think.

All right, got it working mechanically, but I see that the text in the portraits for selection is pretty badly off-center - guess they must have changed those dimensions around at some point. Gotta find something to convert pngs to ddses again...

Huh, steam seems to be very unreliable about showing me notifications of comments here. I haven't paid attention for a while, obviously. But I'll see about installing stellaris again and updating this...hopefully they haven't changed too much around.

Thank you for this. 12% of the population, not the 50% they'd have us believe.

For those wondering the source of the portrait shift issue, it seems to occur when your version of humanity gains a psionic-based trait. I have no clue how to fix it, but tbat seems to be the source.
