If anyone wants to see this in action, stop by my group's server (~8:30 PM Eastern Time) Address: 66.55.158.30 Port: 2302 Name: [SA]StayAlive. No mods required to join (this addon is installed as a script our our server's missions). We use Advanced AI Command on nearly every COOP mission we do. If there's an SA member on the server, they can show you how to use the AI Command functions during a COOP mission.

Features:

- Control AI groups via the map. Provides intuitive interface for commanders.
- Supports multiple commanders in multiplayer. All commanders can see in real-time as waypoints are moved.
- Assign/unassign vehicles to an AI group using the map.
- Land & set fly in height for planes / helicopters
- Split up and join groups together
- Waypoints can be moved around via dragging. They can be deleted using the delete key.
- Supports remote controlling of AI group leaders. Press delete to exit remote control.

Installation:

1. Subscrive via steam: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=685037021 or dowload latest release from https://github.com/sethduda/AIC/releases
2. If installing this on a server, add the addon to the -mod command line option. By default, all players will be given control of all groups on their side. You can change this using editor modules. See below.
3. Optionally, configure setup using Advanced AI Command "Groups" and "Commanders" editor modules in the Misc category. See below of examples configurations.

Example Module Configurations (Optional):

Setup 1: Give all playable units full control over all groups on their side

No additional configuration needed.

Setup 2: Give specific playable units full control over all groups on their side

In this example, two playable units will have full control over all groups on their side. The 3rd playable unit won't have any command controls.



Setup 3: Give specific playable units control over specific groups

In this example, two playable units will have control over two groups. The 3rd playable unit won't have any command controls.



Setup 4: Give specific playable units control over specific groups (Advanced)

This is an advanced example giving multiple players (different sides) control over specific groups.

Why its showing civilians that i saw in the game showing as my group on the map in Overthrow scenario mod? I can't control them but its showing on the map and there is too many civilians

In Arma 3 "Advanced AI Command" mode, after remote controlling a unit and exiting, I cannot select another unit for a while. How can I fix this?

@ALL - I see some people having issues, saying it does not work, etc. Here is the 'truth' as of May 29, 2024:

Q: Does this mod still work?
A: YES

Q: Does this mod work with every other mod?
A: NO (HetMan v1.09 is one example)

Q: What are some of the signs of this mod is not working with something else?
A: Does not show up when clicking on a unit (ie, no brackets around units) or no 'blue line' showing up to create/move WP, and probably other ones.

Q: Are there any 'work-arounds'?
A: YES. In ANY mission that is 'slow' due to scripts/units on the map, you can ALWAYS INCREASE YOUR PERFORMANCE by doing one simple trick! OPEN YOU MAP AND ZOOM IN TO THE MAX! THEN select that unit and it MIGHT work then! This is an OLD ARMA 3 trick that works with ANY mission - SP or MP! ARMA is no longer 'drawing' items away from you when the map is zoomed in, why should it? Thus, the 'extra performance' for 'free'. It DOES work! That is, till you close the map... ;)

So I use this to let AI pilot helicopters, while I use the ATGM of it. But when I go into camera mode, the AI will just randomly start flying around, ignoring my commands.

Not only that, this whole thing of AI flying only works if I am alone in the helicopter with them. if there are more, the AI will just rise, land again, and refuse to go up.

Hello Duda!
I am trying to hide the high command markers on the map when NOT in high command menu (alt+space), could this be done easily?
I am ok with having to edit code on github and then building it via addon builder.

just a solution for anybody trying to use this from commander or guner pos,and clicking on map causes your driver to get ordered to the map location clicked. call this somewhere in scenario to prevent it happening

Hey man, Love the mod! But it doesnt seem to work with any of the Dynamic Recon Ops or Dynamic Combat Ops
