What's in this guide?

This is my first(and probably only) ever guide, so I hope it goes down well! There is currently a guide for School Mode already up and it's great you should check it out if you don't like this one. I felt there was a few things I could change about it though so here is my own guide.

THINGS TO NOTE
  • Click on the contents at the side for quick navigation
  • Because of the nature of the guide, there may be mild/extreme spoilers
  • I will update this guide periodically as there is a lot of information for me to give but I believe there isn't much general help out there, so I wanted to post a quick "how to". The information that I am not putting up straight away is available in some great guides.
  • Use my tips as a guideline not a be all and end all, this is how I managed the game and what I found to be most effective, it is by no means definitive.
  • The only thing that carries from one School Mode playthrough to another is the stats of your characters, no items or materials. Make sure you use them before its too late!
School Mode Basics & First Playthrough
Publicado originalmente por IGN:
School Mode is an optional bonus for players after they've completed the main story. In it, Monokuma tasks Makoto and his classmates with buidling crazy alternate versions of his robotic body over a 50 day period.

Once you finish the main story you get the chance to play "School Mode" selected from the main menu. The "School Mode" is divided into two phases, gathering/crafting phase which is used to craft Monokuma Alternates and Free Time used much in the same way as free time is used in the Main Story, visiting people and gifting them items to try and fill out the report cards.

First Playthrough

IMPORTANT
if this is your first playthrough DO NOT try and build the Monokuma Clones, focus on levelling up stats of your cleaning and gathering.

What should I do first?

GATHERING PHASE: First you should pick 2-4 people to be your "cleaners" and the rest should focus on gathering. I would recommend starting with 4 cleaners and as they level up I would drop this down to 2 as they will be able to handle the cleaning procedure.
FREE TIME: Max out ALL report cards as soon as possible, forget about "trip tickets" for now as they are useless without a maxed out report card on every character.

What should I be making?

Make as many Cheat Sheets and Cleaning Maestro's as you can manage. Make sure you apply them to your characters before the 50 days are up as no items carry over playthroughs, only stats do. ALSO, make a few "Mum's Warm Milk" as these restore everyone's HP up to Max.

How should I divide my "teams"
I personally went for an all boys gather the same, all girls gather the same. I then focussed on the thing I needed the most of and got that out of the way as quick as I could. I made sure my girl team and boy team didn't search the same area as well to try and maximise "return". Be adaptable though, this method will not be enough every time, but it helps to get most items as quick as possible whilst making HP management easy.

How should I manage HP?

Never let yourself get "knocked out" as this lowers the amount of "free time" you will get, if you are making "Mum's Warm Milk" and dividing your teams into two "boy and girl" factions, everyone should be at the same level of fatigue, meaning one shot of "Mum's Warm Milk" will take everyone from "Blue Crawling" HP to Full "Red Cheering" HP. Keep an eye on what missions you are sending people on, the down arrows reflect how much HP loss will happen during the mission.
Updates
I will update this guide soon with more information....

Hi! I thought that your guide was pretty useful till this point! I can understand why you decided to make it, and I believe that this kind of a guide is pretty neccessary for new starters, with all the other types of guides about it out there.

Well, I just wanted to say that I hope you will update this guide, it has the potential to be a very useful guide in the future! :DD
