Amphion - Strider - Super Skycrane

Amphion is proud to present the Strider -- A large-grid skycrane with some serious lifting capabilities, both in-atmo and trans-atmospheric. Weighing in at just over 810,000kg, the Strider has a high lift to mass ratio, provided by eight vertical large atmospheric thrusters, eight small atmospheric thrusters, and a host of hydrogen thrusters. While in its early prototyping phase and largely untested, the acceleration while unloaded is pretty staggering.

Current max load is 11,000,000kg, safe max load is 10,000,000kg (tested with various configurations of cargo and cargo containers, also with excessive loads of ore). Locking gyroscopes while level allows for the craft to remain as such for attachments and retrieval.

We at Amphion's propulsion laboratories took supermassive objects (including faux base facilities) and lifted them, tested in at least two of three atmospheres available.
