Rollermine: Electric offensive/defensive traps that go off when something enters its radius
Shield Scanner: A stronger version of the City Scanner and that it drops mines
Strider: Dropped by Combine Dropships sometimes, the Combine's main heavy ground assault, can also use a ''warp cannon'' to vaporize some map props, living things and parts of buildings.

Weapons types carry:

How to kill specific ones (not ones you can use any weapons on):

Closing Statement
Hopefully this guide helped you learn about the characters of HL2, and the ways of killing specific enemies faster/easily or the only way to kill them. This is my first guide so I do not know how the Images work, so sorry about it all just being words. I don't think this contained spoilers so it's all good if you are very new to the game (maybe apart from the citadel stuff :P). This is aimed to be a very serious guide to actually help you, not to make you laugh, so if you found it REALLY boring then that is OK, but hopefully at least you learnt a thing or two.
EDIT: I learnt how to use the image thing, it's really simple, so I am adding pictures

Helpers:
GI Joe: (Go check out his profile, he's a really nice guy, he gave me a fair bit of information on some of the characters and the weapons).
I also got the idea from reading one of my friend's guides.
EDIT: He deleted his guide so I had to remove the link. Sorry if anyone clicked on it and it wasn't available, and hopefully most of you got to see it before he deleted that.
Also note that none of the 3 pictures above are owned by me, I found them on google images.

Thanks, I will make sure to correct it, but everyone that calls themselves a grammar nazi in the comments turns out to spell thing wrong in their comment. Thanks again.

Hey just so you know, I think you can damage the Striders with the SMG grenade, aside from that, awesome guide! :)

Thanks, I appreciate the support, but you said you're a grammar nazi and you didn't use correct grammar. I love how you commented btw, because not many people have.

Im sorry for being a grammer nazi but there is one part of this that buggs me, for thr Roller Mine you said it "electricutes you". Electricutes is the combination of 2 words, electricity and execution, unless your on low health ill STFU but its damage is nothing too signficant, the proper term is "Shocks you". Sorry but its just a huge gripe i had with this.

P.S this is a great guide.

The Strider also has an extra ability. It's gun has this function that shoots mini-blackholes and vapourizes props, level geometry, and basically anything that gets in its way.
