Hello and welcome to my achievement guide for War Thunder, Would like to say now that this is current a WIP, if you have any suggested edits, ideas, fixes etc. please leave them in the comments and don't forget to like.

There are currently 40 achievements in War Thunder, the order below that they are in, is the order steam has them in, but i did categorize them into exclusively tanks, planes, and both/misc.


24 achievements in Both air, land and other achievements.

6 achievements in Air battle achievements.

10 achievements in Land battle achievements

Ultimate
Get 'Mission Maker' 10 times
You receive this award for getting both the first and last kill of a game (either enemy planes or AI targets), receive this award 10 times to get the achievement.


Ninja
Get 'Shadow Strike' 100 times
You receive this award for destroying an enemy vehicle without getting yourself hit, receive this award 100 times to get the achievement.


At one blow
Destroy 5 targets within 1 second
This achievement is easily done in an air AB, just choose a bomber and find a cluster of ground AI, release bombs all at once or release one big bomb.


Treasure Hunter
Open 10 chests
Easiest way to unlock is to log into the main menu once a day and open the daily reward chest.


Speed up!
Activate 10 boosters
This achievement requires you to activate 10 boosters, you will most likely receive a booster from your daily chest, or you can buy one in the shop, boosters are stored in your inventory then boosters tab.


Arcade 1000
Destroy 1000 players' vehicles in arcade battles
Simple kill 1000 players in AB


Realistic 500
Destroy 500 players' vehicles in realistic battles
Simple kill 500 players in RB


True 100
Destroy 100 players' vehicles in simulator battles
Simple kill 100 players in SB


Revenge-Seeker
Get 'Eye for an Eye' 5 times
You receive this award for destroying the player that eliminated you, receive this award 5 times to get the achievement.


Firestarter
Destroy 30 players' vehicles by setting them afire
This achievement requires you to get a kill on an enemy from them being on fire, choose tier 1 planes and stop shooting when a target gets lit on fire, do this 30 times for the achievement.


Rank 1
Win 100 battles using vehicles of rank 1
Simply win 100 battles using rank 1 vehicles


Rank 2
Win 100 battles using vehicles of rank 2
Simply win 100 battles using rank 2 vehicles


Rank 3
Win 100 battles using vehicles of rank 3
Simply win 100 battles using rank 3 vehicles


Rank 4
Win 100 battles using vehicles of rank 4
Simply win 100 battles using rank 4 vehicles


Rank 5
Win 100 battles using vehicles of rank 5
Simply win 100 battles using rank 5 vehicles


Vengeful Spirit
Destroy a player's vehicle while being dead
This achievement requires you to kill someone after your tank or plane is 'destroyed', this will mainly come down to luck, but getting a plane with a rear gunner and keeping him lined up as long as possible after being destroyed will give you your best chance.
You can also get this achievement by lighting a plane on fire then dying (crash or shotdown), then having the fire destroy the enemy.


True and Fable
Win 50 single missions
This achievement requires you to win 50 single missions, you can find single missions in the in game menu.


Japanese Collection
Order 50 Japanese vehicles
This achievement requires you to research, then order 50 individual Japanese vehicles.


US Collection
Order 50 US vehicles
This achievement requires you to research, then order 50 individual US vehicles.


Soviet Collection
Order 50 Soviet vehicles
This achievement requires you to research, then order 50 individual Soviet vehicles.


British Collection
Order 50 British vehicles
This achievement requires you to research, then order 50 individual British vehicles.


German Collection
Order 50 German vehicles
This achievement requires you to research, then order 50 individual german vehicles.


Fully Modified
Purchase 50 modifications[/b]
This achievement requires you to research then buy 50 vehicle modifications across any number of vehicles.


Cold-Blooded
Destroy 2 players' vehicles while your vehicle's on fire
This achievement requires you to kill 2 players while your vehicle is on fire, i find this easier to do in plane battles in soviet planes.

Kraken
Sink 5 aircraft carriers
Aircraft carriers only appear in RB and SB, Go as America or Japan and get a pacific map.
Aircraft carriers (depending on nation and battle) need a minimum of 2 torpedo's or 2000kg of bombs to sink.


Hooked
Land on an aircraft carrier
I find the easiest plane for this is the Buffalo (US plane), just go straight on with the carrier, keep your speed low and it should automatically hook when you touch on.


Air-to-Air
Get 'Hero of the sky' 10 times
You receive this award for destroying at least 12 enemy aircraft, receive this 10 times to unlock the achievement.


Air-to-Ground
Get 'Thunderer' 10 times
You receive this award for destroying 18 or more ground AI targets in a single battle, receive this award 10 times to unlock the achievement.


Nemesis
Get 'Avenger' 5 times
You receive this award for destroying an enemy plane that just recently destroyed an ally player controlled plane, receive this award 5 times to unlock the achievement.


Accurate Fire
Get 'Triple Strike'
This achievement requires you to destroy 3 enemy AI ships in one pass, doing most AB maps will get you this achievement.

Ground-to-Air
Get 'Wing Breaker' 10 times
You receive this award from getting the most air target kills in tank battles, receive this award 10 times to get the achievement.


Ground-to-Ground
Get 'Heavy Metal Hero' 10 times
You receive this award for destroying 12 ground targets in tank battles, receive this award 10 times to get the achievement.


But... how?!
Shoot down a plane with tank cannon in simulator mode
This achievement requires you to go into a land SB and shoot down an enemy plane, easiest way to do this is to wait for the plane to line up to do an attack run at you, then carefully aim and try to hit it, you can also use a tanks machine gun to shoot down the plane


Guide
Get 'Intelligence' 10 times
You receive this award for marking a player controlled enemy tank before an ally plane kills them, receive this award 10 times to get the achievement.


Air Support
Get 'According to Intelligence' 10 times
This achievement requires you to be in an airplane and kill a player controlled enemy tank which was recently marked by a friendly player contolled vehicle, receive this award 10 times to get the achievement.


Sniper
Destroy 5 players' vehicles at the distance of 1.5 kms or more
Easiest way to get this achievement is shooting down planes with SPAA.


Element of Surprise
Capture an enemy strategic point with hostile team players in direct vision
This achievement requires you to cap a strategic point with you having direct vision on an enemy player (enemy doesn't have to be looking at you).


King of the Hill
Destroy in one battle 5 players' vehicles while standing on the strategic point captured by your team
This achievement requires you to camp on the strategic point and destroy 5 enemy players, i found this easier to do with US tanks.


Dead Weight
Destroy a player's vehicle which is tied to other player's vehicle by a cable
This achievement requires you to wait until an enemy tank is being tied by another enemies cable, then destroy the tied tank, achievement is pretty easy if you spot an enemy needing to be cabled, and merely wait.


Street Brawler
Destroy 2 players' vehicles within 30 seconds from a distance of 10 meters or less
This achievement requires you to be at basically, point blank range and to get 2 kills within 30 seconds, best done by rushing up behind 2 enemy tanks when the opportunity arises.
