A haphazard patchwork of fields and farms spans the countryside amongst the grassy moors. Rivers break through the hills to reach in from the sea. Through it all cut the arteries of civilisation; a motorway slicing through the woodland, joined in the middle by a second.

A dual carriageway stretches out across the plains, branching out from that most British of junctions: the roundabout.

From here, a simpler, more barebones junction connects the citizen with the local countryside. This junction does not see much traffic.

Yet.

For it is this from this very junction that your new city will grow.

Recommended with the Realistic European Theme (though you may want to double the chance of rain a few times ;) ).

Use a zone-editing mod, such as the zoning toolset by Arch Angel, to build alongside the country roads.

Changes from MrMiyagi's original map:

• Extended the level of farm coverage significantly.
  
• Motorways/dual-carriageways/railways rebuilt (along original paths) to be much closer together.
  
• Dual-carriageway connected to the motorway via a grade-separated roundabout junction.
  
• Off-map dual-carriageway junction replaced with a bespoke dumbbell interchange.

A little tip: organic city-building can be very easy on this map.
Consider the following:

• You would have to buy fields in order to expand.
  
• You would want to cover as much of each field you buy with as much development as reasonable in order to get the most value for your money.
  
• You would ideally try to build up hills instead of around them.

Also, you may want to leave room around the starting junction to convert it to something with a bit more throughput later on.
