Description
Manage how Chirper works

This is my first official mod for Cities Skylines :-D

I know there are several mods like this but I had to start somewhere in order to learn how to mod this game.

The end goal with this mod is to have just one mod where you can control Chirper to behave as you'd like. If you have a specific feature you would like to see please let me know and I'll see if I can do it :)

Features so far
- Show/hide Chirper
- Move Chirper
- Message filter - Only show relevant messages for your city - No more Chirps about watering plants while on vacation

Potential conflicts
This mod does the same as these mods and thus they may conflict or override each others behaviours.

Can you explain how the filters work? I've experimented with it a lot now, and I still can't figure out if enabling a filter disables those messages, or makes it so you only see filtered items. Honestly my only goal with Chirper is to stop getting spammed with the same nonsense messages that end up being 9/10 of my alerts.

Also, I think it breaks after (very) long sessions, because after several hours I realized I wasn't getting any new alerts at all, and it just kept showing me the same 6 alerts over and over (even after I cleared them). This could have been caused by any number of things, of course, and it's only happened once so far, so if it keeps happening I'll troubleshoot.

Would have been great to be able to filter/block certain messages, or types of messages.

For example, daily stock market spam or complaints about no prison.

There's still a sound when one of the filtered events happen. At least there are Chirper sounds, without anything showing in the box. Doesn't this mod take care of that? It's the sound that's worst, in my opinion, but I need it in case it's a message I want to see, so I can't just turn it off.

Birdcage mod is fully compatible with Plazas & Promenades DLC.
Please follow the Plazas & Promenades DLC Compatible modlist.
