For Bug 18, there is a hidden ledge on the far wall that you can land on, roughly even with the bug (Clarity Shard can make it easier to see the bug), so there's no need to worry about timing your dashes and jumps perfectly.

You can get the 6th health upgrade by dropping down to that little "basement" section where you have to shoot the orb and then immediately dropping down again. So there is no indication but you can drop through the solid floor at the bottom of the screen
