P-887 Amunia

Descrizione
P-887 Amunia

This mod contains one celestial body: The planet P-887 Amunia. It's a full-sized planet with all ore types available in varying amounts and distributions.

The scientists back on Earth weren't quite sure how this planet came into being, but the best theory was that there was a large amount of H2O orbiting this star and not enough solid matter to form a proper planet in this area. The H2O eventually coalesced into a solid body picking up small chunks of other material along the way. The end result is the planet Amunia with is almost completely composed of ice. There is a thin oxygen atmosphere on this planet, but it's so thin and cold that you can't breathe it in directly. Thankfully an air vent should be able to safely filter the air and make it breathable within vehicles and habitats. There are quite a bit of ore chunks mixed in with this giant ice ball, many of which are exposed and can be found without digging. Probably this planets most interesting feature are the giant ice spikes that appear in large areas. Scientists have labelled these unusual phonomena "Ice Forests" and it is believed that they are the result of ice storms causing vertical shafts of ice to accumulate over several hundereds of years. That theory is often debated though as some shafts of ores such as iron and uraninite have been spotted among these ice forests.
