Mobile Planetary Base - Strider

Opis
Ladies and gentlemen, ST Enterprises is proud to unveil our engineers' finest work to date. The Strider is a gigantic wheeled base, which operates on a self-adjusting suspension based on a modified rocker-bogie configuration. It's a sealed fuselage, and can be used on any surface, even moons. Our test drivers have yet to find the rock that Strider can't climb.
--Twin reactors as a primary power source.
--Set of 24 batteries and an array of 18 solar panels can serve as a backup if the uranium runs dry or the reactors are damaged.
--Two hydrogen tanks on board for refueling your crew's suits or external craft.
--Six oxygen tanks to store air, four in the airlock to fascilitate cycling, as well as four ice-based O2 generators. Addionally, there are external air intakes which can be used to pressurize the fuselage in any environment with even a little oxygen in it.
--There are 12 powered drivewheels on two static struts at the rear of the craft, as well as 12 unpowered wheels on the rocker struts.
--Two heavy jet engines can give Strider a little push when the terrain doesn't lend itself to good traction. A forward-facing engine can be used to brake.
--Built-in ore detector and antenna with a range up to 50km from Strider.
--Belly-mounted elevator system for unloading engineers and miners without the need to use precious hydrogen.
--Beacon mounted in elevator platform, with a 50km maximum range.
--Seating for six crew members plus one pilot.
--180 degree viewing angle from the bridge; above the driver's seat there are catwalks that serve as a sort of observation deck for the rest of the crew aboard.
--Medical bay, refinery, and assembler installed, making this vehicle survival-ready.
--Twin large cargo containers for storing ore and/or parts.
--ALL devices are piped into a central storage system, so that inventory can be transferred from anywhere to anywhere else.
--Four AI-controlled Gatling turrets to defend you from meteors, sabiroids, cyberhounds, and drones.
--One missile turret for a little extra firepower.
--Landing pad along the spine of the vehicle for landing and holding ships, complete with a connector point to recharge the docked craft or unloading its ores/parts/tools.
--Two connector points on Strider's belly, so it can be docked with other large ships or stations.
--Two side-mounted doors and attached staircases will allow engineers to access Strider from the landing pad.

NOTE: Slow and steady wins the race. Because of its size, Strider doesn't appear to be moving all that fast. Keep that in mind when driving across the surface of a planet. If you lay into the throttle too much, the front wheel struts can fail to roll with the terrain, and may snap off.

If you need a base that flies instead of rolls, please consider the Ark of Glass:

Silas H. Tyler, i really would want to add ya, ya know. Lookin for people to play SE with, but, im having some difficulties with that. For example: Some people dont add people not from real life, they arent interested in playing together, both or, they just dont want to build together. Im practicing a lot and i would love to help ya with building.

P.S: Your Strider mobile base is amazing.

Well, just came across this beauty! And more to the point, you like all of my favourite space engineers youtubers! xD I am constantly gleeming my eyes on each of their channels for a new video haha. I must say amazing creation this, a big well done from me :D

@Evoken: Thanks for the compliment! Glad you like it. =D

@Vallenstain: Yessir, you're right about that! I also follow Morph, Shack, Sage, Arron, and even MeowCaptain if the stars are right. W4stedspace is my absolute favorite YouTuber, though. =)

I actually didn't intend for this to be so much like w4sted's crawler, but it sort of happened anyway. ^^ I guess rovers designed to climb over rocks are bound to be similar. However! There are two key differences between them. His has fixed wheel struts, and mine has rotating struts. His was not sealed, mine is. Also, I think his fuselage might be bigger, but I haven't compared them side-by-side. I should do that, now that I'm thinking about it.

In any case, thanks to both of you for taking the time to look at my build. If you end up subscribing, I'd love for you to let me know how it measures up against similar designs. I'm always looking for ways to improve!
