Introduction
All information in this guide is courtesy of /u/vbcnxm_ on Reddit

In the world of Knights of Pen and Paper 2, there are a total of 7 different status effects: Burn, Confusion, Poison, Rage, Stun, Weakness, and Wound. If any enemy or player has all 7 at once, it instantly dies. However, this tends to be very difficult to do since, most of the time, these effects are dispelled before you get the chance to add more. That in mind, I present to you... The Sudden-Death Ninja!

This ridiculous killswitch of a character can kill almost any enemy in one attack, if the conditions are right. In fact, I killed the Pale Dragon (from the Here Be Dragons DLC) with my level 23 character before it even had a chance to attack! And now I will teach you how to build this killing machine as well.
Step 1: Buy the Furniture
First things first, you need to redecorate. There is a certain game room item that reduces the number of status effects needed to cause Sudden Death down to 6: The Weapon Rack. You should buy this immediately!

Step 2: Create the Ninja
Next, you will need to build the character. The specifications are as follows:

  • Ninja class
  • Human race (preferred)
  • Jock player (preferred) (Any player works though. I used the Bookworm for my examples)
  • 1 skill rank in Black Arts (a passive Wound 1 on crits)
  • 1 skill rank in Shadow Chain (a 3-in-1 attack)
  • 21 skill rank in Vanish (bonus to crit chance)

This should, at maximum Vanish capacity, put you at ~52% crit chance across 3 attacks. You need two crits to successfully sudden death any monster. You should be able to melt your way through any boss!

Step 3: Equip the Ninja
Finally, you need to equip your Ninja to make those crits hurt! You will need the following items:

  • An Axe (Weakness and Crit +2%)
  • A Hammer (Stun)
  • the Viper Tooth (Poison 2 on crit) (found by searching the Meadows)
  • the Volcanic Rock (Burn 2 on crit) (found by searching the Steam Flats)
  • the Troll Snot (Rage on crit) (found by searching the Nameless Bridge)

Personally, I upgraded by hammer and axe with +4 scrolls, but this isn't necessary. If you have them, you should definitely enchant your weapons with charms to add additional effects to the attacks, though! I simply haven't been lucky enough to get any.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alternatively, you can exchange the hammer for a Pocketwatch. This will add Confusion to your attacks instead of Stun. It will also lower your threat by 10 and raise your crit chance by 2%.
Step 4: The Jock (optional)
If you chose to build the Ninja with the Jock, you have a third hand slot that you can use to increase the pain! This is where the Pocketwatch comes into play. It adds Confusion and increases the crit chance by 2%. This might be the ultimate and definitive Sudden Death Ninja build. While the Jock doesn't guarantee instant sudden death, it significantly raises the likelyhood of success.

Originally, the build had a ~50% chance to hit with one effect and a ~50% chance to hit the other. So, when you could get two crits, a 50% chance of sudden death. The Jock build has an effective 66% success rate with two crits. When all the odds are considered, the original sudden death ninja had a 17% chance to complete sudden death, while the Jock build has a 30% chance to complete sudden death!

Bottom line: If you have the option, always choose Jock!

Notes
Warlock: A good combo with the Sudden Death Ninja is the Warlock. His Touch of Blight ability will add a random, unblockable condition to the target. The only problem is the effect only has a 25% chance to be one you haven't already added. If it's a repeat, it will simply add an additional point of severity and do nothing else to help your cause.

Psion: Another good support class is the Psion. Her Misdirection ability increases one of your party's threat for a turn. This would be very helpful in achieving sudden death. [Thank you, Kayana]

Bombs: Similar to the Warlock, bombs are a good way to add random conditions to a target.

Paper Knight: Unfortunately, Paper Knight is immune to 2 of the conditions, so he is also immune to sudden death.

Dragons: Dragons apparently aren't immune to any status effects, but they shed them pretty quickly. If you don't get him in the first attack, make sure to protect your Ninja!
Conclusion
Now, after a little grinding, you should have a Sudden Death machine ready to unleash upon the unsuspecting world of Paperos. Enjoy!

What can you do if you didn't get the troll snot on the nameless bridge? Is there anything I can substitute this item with?

For anyone with problems getting above lvl 15 in the Vanish attack, I think you need to complete some tasks first or buy the First of +1 Fury DLC in game (it costs 5 coins).

Thank You very much for this guide!
I had to start a new game for the last achievement, and with your help I succeeded with 85 in-game days at lvl 13 with only 2 characters in my team: a Human Jock Ninja and an Elf Rocker Priest for healing.
