Unconventional Warfare

Descrizione
"Commander, to win the war against ADVENT we need some... unorthodox approaches to combat.

To that end, we have begun to recruit some soldiers who bring skillsets that may seem a bit unusual, but are no less valuable to the Resistance."

Unconventional Warfare adds six new classes to XCOM 2:

Infiltrator (Assault Rifle/Shotgun and Pistol)
"Infiltrators can get anywhere they need to be, especially where ADVENT doesn't want them to be."

Operative (Sniper Rifle and Gremlin)
"Precise and deadly, the Operative is a tech expert and lethal sniper rolled into one."

Raider (Cannon and Sword)
""Brutal but effective, the Raider is the kind of fighter we're just glad is on our side."

Saboteur (Shotgun/Assault Rifle and Gremlin)
"Computer geniuses and espionage experts, Saboteurs can get behind enemy lines and disrupt their network."

Insurgent (Shotgun/Assault Rifle and Grenade Launcher)
"The Insurgent is an unorthodox combatant who specializes in deploying explosives right where they're needed."

Gadgeteer (Cannon/Assault Rifle and Gremlin)
"The Gadgeteer always has a technological solution to every problem. They sometimes involve bullets."

All six classes are enabled by default, and have equal odds of coming up randomly as the default vanilla classes. They are trainable in the Guerilla Tactics School.

This mod is intended to be used from the start of a new campaign. You could, in theory, start using it in the middle of an existing campaign but any of the new soldiers of the new classes would naturally be pretty low level so it might not be a great idea? Your decision, Commander.

NOTE: If you don't want to enable all of the classes, you can disable any of them you don't want by going into Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > the numerical ID for XCOM2 on your computer > the numerical ID for this mod > Unconventional Warfare > Config > XComClassData.ini and then looking for the code at the top that says +SoldierClasses= and then the name of the class(es) you don't want to include, and deleting those lines. This will disable those classes from showing up in your game.

I make no promises of compatibility. This mod alters XComClassData.ini and XComGameData.ini, but only adds to those files, doesn't change any values in them. I cannot predict how it will interact with any other class mods, especially those that serve the same function (like the many other pistol/rifle class mods out there). Mix at your own discretion.

Class icons courtesy of XCOM: LW, nickname pools for the new classes partially drawn from Indigoblade's Nicknames Extended mod.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- It is currently possible to gain an AWC perk for one of the UW classes that is identical to one that character already has (Phantom for a class that already has Phantom, for example). A fix is currently being worked on.

BUG FIXES:
- Fixed an issue with a "blank" class showing up in the Character Pool. This was due to a remnant of a future 7th class that is still being worked on. It has been removed for now.

If anyone would like the amor and awc fixes provided in mod form to bypass editing themselves, or ensure they stay fixed after reinstallation or validation, i made a fix here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=793522232

Is this Long war perk package compatiable?

as everyone on custom classes has been saying, you need to add new line in the XComClassData.ini files of each of the custom classes, not the one found in documents>mygames>xcom2 etc. So instead you need to go to SteamLibrary>steamapps>workshop>>content>268500 then search for XComClassdata.ini. Now open each XComClassdata.ini file shown from the search results and add somewhere the new line with +AllowedArmors="soldier"

Great cool awesome, thanks Firaxis. Alright, I'll figure out what's going on with this.

Can confirm previous commentor; DLC broke armor equipment on custom classes. Furthermore, it appears that custom classes cannot wear DLC and if someone builds squad upgrade armor, custom classes will not be able to equip any armor.

This class mod needs updating following DLC release. Cannot equipt any armors. Has affected all custom classes.
