Hello and welcome to my first map (Huzzah!).

IMPORTANT! For you to avoid errors and missing textures, Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 and 2 (not sure about Ep1, as I only use some sounds), are required to be mounted. Please don't ignore this, and simply post in the comments about missing stuff, I heavily used Episode 2 content. Of course, a professional modder would in fact pack all the necessary files into the map, but, I'm a bit lazy on that...sorry (it also would increase upload time and file sizes) :\

This contains two maps:

gm_dreamside_1
gm_dreamside_night_1

And it includes custom soundscapes.

Meaning I took the time to make a night time version of the map. (however, the skybox is different in the night version, and there is no 3D skybox parts) These two maps are fully ai noded (except for flying npcs). It is intended that you play through it once like playing a level, as you can tell, I got a bit too carried away with that, adding zombie npcs, and such. But regardless, its still worth noting the locations for any scene stuff you'd like to do, or whatever.

The map does contain cubemaps...and I did build them properly, but I had to remove an addon that was making them look strange, and wasn't bothered to rebuild the cubemaps. Gmod actually automatically disables cubemaps, so whether or not you really need them, they are there. (enable them with mat_specular 1, but loading another map may cause objects to go extremely shiny, so either disable it before or after loading a new map)

This map is in fact my dream, no, not as in something I've been dreaming to make (that too, though), but as in something that I 'dreamt' about while sleeping. If I remember correctly, I had the dream in 2012...its taken me a while to finally dig in and make a map, which only took about 9 days to learn.

Let me just describe a bit about this dream.

I was playing HL2 (who knows if it was HL3 xD), near the start of the first tunnel, with Alyx and the muscle car, and there was the cabin on the right, that I remember going up to (I think), and then to the other tunnel, which I had to stop the car because of the barricades, and for some reason I knew that this tunnel in fact lead to the town of Ravenholm. This bit cuts off, from the road tunnel straight to the entry of Ravenholm, so the "station" and tunnels actually I had to make up, so it would connect and make sense. Ravenholm part of the dream was also at night time.

A: A dream I had that was apparently Ep2 themed, along with returning to Ravenholm. Don't question it.

Q: Will you make more maps?
A: Yes, I have a few projects, another dream-related map as well.

Q: Will you help me with my map?
A: No, I'm new to map making myself, everything I learned was through videos and studying the Valve Developer Wiki. And also I'm too busy to help anyone.

Q: HALP! There are missing textures and errors!
A: You don't have Half-Life 2 and Episode 2 mounted! Any problems that you might have even with them mounted, I don't think I can help.
