Select Soldier Icons

Опис
This mod adds a new panel where you can select a soldier, by clicking on its icon.
If you are tired of constantly pressing Tab to search the right soldier, this mod is for you.

- The icon of the selected soldier is highlighted in green.
- The icon of soldier without action points looks like disabled.

You can change some options in ini file located at "...\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\630391471\Config\XComSoldierSelectIcons.ini"
;Align icons to the top of screen or bottom
AnchorTop=true
;Align icons to the left of screen or right
AnchorLeft=false
;Stack icons vertically or horizontally
Vertically=true

and some others

... man is this a longshot as there has been no comment since FEB 2016!

I would like to (and I am going to) make a new version of this mod for WOTC, incorporating some of the suggestions below and some of the new features in use within the WOTC Community Highlander (like dynamic class icons).

I really like this mod's simplicity as an alternative to Quick Soldier Info.
I am happy to report that for all my testing (and using AML) this mod does indeed still work perfectly fine in WOTC. I just want to add and tweak some things.

If you have any issues with this please try to contact me through steam or discord.
Obviously all credit for the idea and original implementation will be given.

There is a limit set in the config file for "MaxIcons", this is indeed set to 12 by default

Still works as of today.
Just a thing I saw this week : it seems this mod can't display more than 12 soldier icons.
I downloaded a mod to have a 10 soldier squad, and when you had a dominated enemy, a resistance soldier at start, and a random enemy at start, the last one has no icon.
Not a big thing, though :)

You can force this Mod to load despite the new launcher by editing XComModOptions.ini in Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config and adding
ActiveMods=SoldierSelectIcons
Note that this will reset if you go edit your mods in the launcher again.
This trick doesn't work with all vanilla mods so be careful

This no longer works with the new game load screen. At least not with WOTC. If anyone knows the author of this mod, please beg and plead for them to update it. :)
