Introduction
Welcome to my Reboot GMS link skill guide. Link skills are skills that certain classes have that can be shared to other characters in the same world. Link skills are unlocked at level 1, but can only be transferred when level 70 is hit. They can be found in the Skill Tab under ●. Players usually create and grind 12 classes up to level 120, as 210 takes too long to get to. Link Skills are beneficial to a character's range when aiming to get it higher. This guide will include a section on link skills, grinding, tips and frequently asked questions. Credit goes to AyumiLove for a lot of the information (http://ayumilove.net/maplestory-link-skills-guide/) that went into this, reformatted for Steam.

-Save your Alishan quest bubble to get to Copper Drakes from Riena Strait faster.

-As soon as you’re Level 10, use the Maple Guide to get to Victoria Island (Tab at the top).

-Doing the FriendStory pre-quest will allow you to teleport to Henesys whenever you need to. Use the cellphone in the tab on the left side.

-Do part-time jobs with your mules when you’re done for a chance to get Potential Scrolls, mesos etc.

-Cygnus Knights’ blessing does not have a cooldown like Link Skill transferring. Make one before your mules.

-Grinding in a party is significantly faster, especially with support classes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can one character have more than one link skill?
A: Yes! Each character can have up to 12 link skills.

Q: Can I transfer a link skill from a character that is the same class as the receiving character?
A: No. For example, a Luminous cannot transfer Light Wash to another Luminous.

Q: Can I transfer a link skill to multiple characters in a world?
A: No. Each character can only transfer their link skill to one other character with a cooldown of 24 hours.

Q: How do I transfer link skills?
A: On your link skill mule, go to your Skill Tab and open the [●] tab. Find the Link Skill Manager, Click the Available button and choose which character you want to transfer your link skill to.

Q: What level should I train my link skill mules to?
A: Most people train 12 mules to level 120, as 210 takes a long time to get to, and isn't worth the time.

Q: What are the best classes to train for their link skills?
A: Different classes and people have different needs based on their character, but universally, a player would include some of these in their list (Roughly emphasized best to worst):

1. Mercedes: Passive experience boost for grinding from level 1-250.
2. Evan: Runes grant 200% EXP and help grind faster.
3. Aran: EXP baubles give great boosts of EXP for grinding.
4.Kanna: Damage for bossing and mobbing.
5. Demon Avenger: Damage for bossing and mobbing.
6. Luminious: Ignore Defense (PDR) for bossing and mobbing.
7. Zen/Jett: All Stats, Weapon Attack and Magic Attack for bossing and mobbing.
8. Beast Tamer: Boss Damage, Critical Rate, Max HP and Max MP with versatility in survivability and bossing.
9. Demon Slayer: Boss Damage for bossing.
10. Phantom: Critical Rate for bossing and mobbing.
11. Hayato: All Stats,Weapon Attack and Magic Attack for bossing and mobbing.
12. Cannoneer: All Stats, Max HP and Max MP with versatility in survivability, bossing and mobbing.
13. Xenon: All Stats for bossing and mobbing.
14. Angelic Buster: Temporary skill damage boost for bossing and mobbing.
15. Kinesis: Minimum Critical Damage for bossing and mobbing.

Q: In addition to boosting them, does the Zen/Jett link skill scramble stats at level 2 and 3 again?
A: No idea. Nexon has never specified.

Kaiser's link skill IS pretty good, for squishy classes, star force barely gives you any defensive stat, i remember being 160 with my db and getting one-shotted by the blackheart (dipq bonus boss) and for sure, had star force at least 10* on everything, still was lacking 1k hp to survive (barely) in that case, kaiser's link skill could've saved me

yeah i forgot about that lol

Kaiser's Link Skill is the best for Demon Avenger ;)

I don't think that Kaiser link skill is that good
I would remove kaiser from the list
if you want survavibility you can starfoce your equipment. it gives you hp and defense (in reboot it's easier since you don't need spell traces, so you can do it early on)
but it doesn't matter too much on bosses since they do % damage
