Jumpshots

NOTE: These are my opinions, you may have a Jumpshot that works perfectly fine for you, and thats okay. Whatever floats your boat.

Jumpshots

These are not in order

L.Aldrige: This is probably the most known shot in the game, this shot is guaranteed to get you greenlights (Not all the time). (Speed: Very Fast, Smoothness: Average, Arc: Average)

C. Anthony: This shot seems more like a set shot to me, I don't find myself shooting of the dribble much with this. (Speed: Average, Smoothness: Very Smooth, Arc: High)

V. Carter: This is a very average shot, i don't see myself use it, but i do recommend it because it feels very fundamental. (Speed: Average, Smoothness: Average, Arc: Average)

R. Gay: This shot feels very good, this was the shot i used in 2K15, but it feels like its not as good in park than in Pro-Am, i don't know why, but if u play Pro-Am i highly recommend this shot. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness, Smooth, Arc: Average)

P. George: This shot feels very good, especially in park, i recommend it if you wan't a fundamental feeling shot. (Speed: Average, Smoothness: Smooth, Arc: Average)

J. Harden: This shot feels so good for some reason, although im not a fan of the form, it's good regardless. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Smooth, Arc: Average)

M. Jordan: This shot and no. 27, are my favorites, this shot is the smoothest shot in the game in my opinion. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Smoothest!, Arc: Average)

K. Martin: This shot gets you many greens off the catch, but it takes some time to get the feeling of it down, since its different from other jumpshots. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Decently Smooth, Arc: Average)

J. Stockton: This shot feels very awkward but its very fast so it makes up for it, If you can get the the release timing down, its going to be very good. (Speed: Very Fast, Smoothness: Not Smooth, Arc: Average)

J. Wall: This shot is good if you're a shooter of the dribble. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Smooth, Arc: Average)

Highschool 1: This shot is the fastest in the game, it's very good if you play 2v2 on Park. (Speed: Fastest!, Smoothness: Not Smooth, Arc: Average)

Release 22: This shot is an alternative to L. Aldrige, they feel very similar, try both see which one fits you. (Speed: Very Fast, Smoothness: Smooth, Arc: Average)

Release 27: This is one of my favorites, due to the high arc of the shot, it feels really good once you get the release timing down. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness, Decently Smooth, Arc: Highest!)

Release 33: This shot is very good from the 3-point line, its also very smooth, it doesn't get as many greenlights as other shots, but its still a very good shot regardless. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Very Smooth, Arc: Average)

Release 51: This shot has a very unique shot base, it has a leg kick, once u get the release timing down this shot is deadly. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness, Decently Smooth, Arc: Average)

Release 70: This shot is the most consistent in the game in my opinion, especially from the 3-point line of the catch. (Speed: Fast, Smoothness: Very Smooth, Arc: Average)

Release 116: This shot is the most fundamental in the game, in my opinion, it's not as fast as other shots, but it definently makes up for it in consistency. (Speed: Average, Smoothness: Very Smooth, Arc: Average)

Freethrows

S. Curry or K. Bryant, are the best ones in my opinion.

Contested

D. Nowitzki, is the best, I've hit so many shots with this thing, even from the 3-point line. It's kinda stupid.

Dribble Pullup

Elite 2, after they patched Normal 13, this is the best pullup, He jumps high, and its smooth and fast.

Spin Jumper

Normal 4, i only use this if people start reaching and i need to get away, your guy protects the ball while doing it, thats why its good.

Hop Jumper

S. Curry: I really like the hop gather to the sides with this one, its really fast and gets you open for a jumshot 80% of the time.

Normal 12: This is an alternative to S.Curry, instead of doing a normal crossover, he does a between the leg dribble.
Post Moves

Post Fade

M. Jordan: This one is for people under 7', it gives you alot of space.

D. Nowitzki: This one is for people 7' and above, it's more consistent than Jordan, and i think its faster.

Post Hook

S. O'Neal: If you don't have Post Hook Specialist, i recommend this one.

Classic Sky Hook: This one needs little words, it's unblockable although u can't just pull it out whenever you want to and score, but if you do have Post Hook Specialist, it's going in more often than not.

Post Hop Shot

Post Hop Shot 10: For some reason people dont use the Hop Shot, it's great especially no. 10, it gives you alot of space.

Post Shimmy Shot

Shimmy Shot 1: This one should be kept at default, because of the fadeaway it gives you.

Post Protect Jumper

Protect Jumper 1 : This one should be kept at default too, i don't find Protect Jumper to be useful, so i haven't really researched this one.

Layups & Dunks

Layups

S. Curry: This one should be self explanatory, if you're an outside guard, even an inside guard, best layup in the game in my opinion.

C. Paul: If you don't like S. Curry as an outside guard, go with this one.

K. Irving: If you don't really dig the C. Paul, K. Irving is pretty nice.

R. Westbrook: This layup is the fastest when you're open, i recommend it for Slashers, and people who doesn't have the Acrobat badge.

J. Wall: This is the fasest layup for contact, if you have the Acrobat badge, and like to finish through contact, i recommend this one.

Big: If you're a Bigman, stick with big, if you're going baseline this thing goes in so much.

Dunks

I'm going to list my favorite dunks, which are the hardest to block.

Under Basket Athletic Flushes: Best standing dunk, if you can't get this one don't get a Standing Dunk.

Athletic One-Handers off One: It's fast and it starts close to the basket.

Athletic One-Handers off Two: Exacly the same as the one above, it's just off two.

Quick Drops Off One: This should be the only Two Hander dunk you have on, It never gets blocked, especially on the Baseline as it goes through the backboard sometimes.

Straight Arm Tomahawk: This is the best dunk in the game, it's fast, your guy jumps far from the basket, and it rarely gets blocked.

Baseline Reverses off One It's always good to have a Baseline dunk, i recommend this one, although the off Two one is just as good.
Dribbling

Dribble Posture

Try them all and see which one you are comfortable with, i can't recommend one because its different from person to person, Although i use Upright because thats how i am IRL.

ISO CROSSOVER

Crossover 2: If you like doing alot of Standing Dribbles to bait your defender, this is the one for you.

Crossover 6: If you want your defenders to fall, this is the best ankle-breaking crossover in the game.

Crossover 19: I recommend this crossover for Slashers, because its a "Slingshot" crossover, it forces you past your defender 90% of the time.

ISO BEHIND BACK

Behind Back 6: This one gives you alot of space from your defender, which you can shoot or drive from.

Behind Back 7: This one has a special animation much like Behind Back 6, It's faster but it doesn't gives as much space.

Behind Back 10: This is just a fast Behind Back that moves you forward in a swift animation much like the next one.

Behind Back 14: This one moves you faster forward than Behind Back 10, but it doesn't give you as much control and it's harder to use.

ISO SPIN

Spin 5 This spin has a special animation like Spin 7, but the reason i use it is because of the normal spin, it spins you fast around your opponent so you can finish at the rim.

Spin 6: This one is very smooth and fast, if you preffer that, use this one.

Spin 7: This one has a behind the back animation which can be used in combination, the normal spin is also pretty decent.

Spin 14: This one has a very fast normal spin, which you can use to finish at the rim.

ISO HESITATION

Hesitation 3: Everyone knows this one, with that stepback, it's really great.

Hesitation 4: If you feel like being unique and such, go with this one, it's normal hesitations are better than Hesitation 3, but it does not have the stepback.

SIGNATURE SIZE-UP

Signature Size-Up 50: I still feel like this is the best Size-Up, because you can break it any way you want and it keeps your defender guessing.

Due to the requests of multiple people, i have chosen not to breakout anything game breaking, so i've decided to exclude the Size-Ups for this guide although u can't go wrong with C. Paul and K. Irvings Size-Up's.
