I even had the idea to simulate the Borg (Star Trek) with a number of scripts: not their race conversions of course, but their spreading, infrastructure-building, and so on. Even defense.

I basically did it just to remove the limit, because on the major planets 90 m / s is violence. To create your idea, it is enough to know C # and variables inside the game, but I didn’t dive so deep into this topic.

The next attempt was with an addition thruster that pointed downwards, to reduce the falling speed. As even this weak thruster was still too strong, I had to override the propulsion and lowered it. The result seemed to be as expected: the drill sank slowly down, at a slower rate that its drilling speed. The result was a fully vertical tunnel. Until it reached so deep that the gravity got less and less. And at that stage, the machine began sometimes to move upwards again (as the thruster was now becoming too strong for the weakening gravity pull) and then to sink down again but in different angles and directions. I ended up to find a labyrinth deep in the planet's core, not a straight tunnel.

Can you develop a planetary thruster that always neutralizes - let's say - 90% or 95% of the current gravity? And maybe an autopilot block instead of a cockpit) that controls all side thrusters to ensure the machine goes down fully vertically?

Here another question: I got the idea, to let a drill create a vertical tunnel just by "falling down" following the gravity. I added a battery to the drill and a cockpit to get started this thing, and then disconnected that machine from the grid I used to build it. Yes, the drill was falling down and created a tunnel. But it was curved and not fully vertical, as the drill fell too fast and got in all different positions because of that.

The next attempt was with an addition of a gyroscope and weak thrusters to all four sides. The result was almost the same. The falling speed is the problem.
