GA-TL1 Longsword Interceptor (Small grid, micro-fighter)

The Longsword interceptor is a strike craft classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to air-to-air combat against starfighters and are usually built aboard carriers.

History
The Longsword has been the UNSC's go-to space superiority craft for some time, and for good reason. It is fast, maneuverable, and can handle a number of tasks, ranging from anti-fighter combat, ground support, scouting and anti-escort combat. It's powerful gimballed auto-cannons can shred lighter armor while having much less effect on heavier plating, as well as being armed with air-to-air rockets.

Tactics
When fielded in larger numbers, Longswords can pick off weakened larger Covenant ships, but are vulnerable to anti-fighter defenses. Use them to finish off stragglers or for defense against Seraphs.

To use this ship: Access via antenna or the rear ejector, and remote control.

To dock this ship: Land inside a carrier or compatible ship and press "9" to maglock the Longsword down.
