Find Horrus - The Cursed Smith

I saw many players asking where they can farm or how they can craft this indispensable items, so I decided to make this guide.

First you have to find Horrus in the Gates of Necropolis by using The Gates of Necropolis Rift.

Crafting your goods

Here are the recipes.

1 Ancient Heart = 1 Blood of Ch'Thon

1 Blood of Ch'thon + 1 Corpse Dust + 1 Ectoplasm = 1 Skeleton Key
You can craft this in Devil's Crossing and Homestead.

1 Blood of Ch'thon = 1 Tainted Brain Mater

1 Tainted Brain Mater = 1 Ancient Heart

Finally know why I have "Tainted Brain Matter", that I have had filling up my stores with. Not sure that is where "Horrus"hangs out. Can't find him ANYWHERE AROUND THE GATES OF NECROPOLIS! I do remember running in to him before, but it was long before I made it to the "gates". Any ideas?

You will have to farm the Steps of Torment or the Arkovian Undercity in the south-east of old Arkovia. They usualy drop from ghosts but some Chtonians drop some as well.

Would chain-crafting Heart > Blood > Brain > Heart work towards the "craft x items" achievements? If so, then it's only a matter of money...

As of v1.0.0.2 treasure troves frequently drop the rare crafting materials including manticore eyes.

yes, I'm sure
Sometimes I get the same result as you but I got even 2 mats in a row from some items.
I remember a pair of legendary pants called Pretty Great Pants, they always drop Blood for me.
You just have to try again and again, your luck will turn.

You sure dismantling rare, epic or ledgedary items can give these mats? I've done like 20+ epic lvl50+ items and didnt get any of the 3
